Re: What soundfont is the media player using on this site?
I have used well over 100 GM soundfonts and synths, but do not recognize the soundfont or even the instrument samples used on that website. That's assuming it is a soundfont or software-based synth, and not a hardware synth or module. The Overdriven Guitar and many other instruments do sound like ...

Re: [Music] HQ Doom Music (2017 Updates) [WIP] [Link]
Maybe someone else can confirm so I know it's not just me who thinks that it sounds a bit weird? :D It's not just you. The choir and string notes in the remakes are definitely off-key. I listened to the original MIDIs and the notes sound fine, while those same notes in the remakes noticeably sound ...

Re: eawpats - the soundfont!
Great to finally see the EAWPATS available in soundfont format. :) Now if only someone were to do this with the original GUS patches. :( There were at least two SF2 versions of the classic GUS patches. These were found online (I am not the creator of them): https://www.dropbox.com/sh/i97s5yc0fu9lfq3 ...

Re: Call of Duty - Best Shooter of All Time
Realistic and responsive gunplay. The guns are anything but realistic. Immersive campaign. The campaigns are pretty cinematic, but they're also terribly scripted and linear. No freedom to explore, no secrets to find, with the exception of the somewhat hidden collectables. Stellar multiplayer ...

Re: June 14th: Doom 4 Gameplay Reveal (Teaser Inside)
I have mixed feelings about it. I like most of the demo, but I don't particularly like some of the monsters' designs. The Cyberdemon is too chunky/bulky, and the monsters have too much brown. DOOM 3's Cyb was better.

Re: [NEED HELP] Strange Soundfont Issue
It sounds like an issue with the CoolSoft VirtualMIDISynth itself.* It seems to be either skipping/not recognizing some sort of pitch bend event(s). Does this problem still happen if you let the entire MIDI play from start, without using the Windows Media Player seek slider? * This issue also ...

Re: What colour is this dress?
I always see it as black and blue...there's no white on the dress whatsoever, just shades of blue. The black parts do look sort of "gold", but to me that is simply yellowish light reflecting off a black surface.

Re: Topic for people who like MLP:FiM
For quite some time I ignored the pony stuff...I even used to completely hate it (mostly because of the fanbase; I never even watched the show). I still do not understand the extreme "bronies"; the ones who obsess over ponies in unhealthy disturbing ways. But I realize there are also many perfectly ...

Re: Smooth Doom (BLOOD ON THE WALLS!)
Excellent mod, I'm really enjoying it. :) Anyway, there appears to be a mistake in the STFST24 graphic: The top of DoomGuy's head seems to be shifted in the incorrect direction (to the left). Since STFST22 has his forehead turned to the left (which looks correct), I assume STFST24 should have his ...

This looks very good! I played the shareware Hocus Pocus a lot and got the full version too. I hope this great mod will continue to be worked on and eventually finished.

Re: Atari Jaguar DOOM - WOLF3D Soundfont
One would also consider renumbering the presets in the soundfont with Viena, so that they correspond with the GM instruments numbers (numbering the harp to the GM harp, the "guiat" [sic] to the dist/overdrive guitar and such). Though the number of instruments in that soundfont is quite small, they ...

Re: Duke Nukem Mobile Soundfont
Quite good for only 4 sound samples. The "Jazz_Pm&Scx" sample even manages to sound like two different instruments; a guitar on low notes and a saw on high notes.

Re: Atari Jaguar DOOM - WOLF3D Soundfont
FWIW here's an SNES soundfont . Credit goes to this guy . This is just drums. If you load it in Doom, it only plays the drums and nothing else. Kinda weird sounding. That's because it's not GM-compatible. That SNES soundfont includes some instruments like violin, bass, guitar, harp, voices, and ...
