Re: Explain Your Avatar
Avatar is subject to change soon as I'm working on a bunch of HUD portraits. However, the current avatar is for the exact same project.
Bunnie Rabbot for those who didn't follow either the Saturday Morning Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon show from about... 15 years ago? Or the Archie Comics, which has been ongoing since '94 or so, and she's been redone with a little "sense" (plus one railgun). That is, her bionics are done big and bulky and stuff because that shit has to be repaired and maintained. Eventually, it's not going to look pretty.
(It's an excuse to let my BattleTech drawing bleed in.

Re: Explain Your Avatar
I think i should upgrade mine now to the new portrait of DT in SC2
Re: Explain Your Avatar
My most common avatar is this one, which I'm using now:
Up until recently though, I was using a different avatar: This is Al E. Cat from an old game called Sid & Al's Incredible Toon Machine. Awesome game.
It's the zombie cyborg from the starting area of Space Quest 4. In the game, if you see him like this, you're about to die.

Re: Explain Your Avatar
Chapter-based story I should probably keep fucking working on someday.
Re: Explain Your Avatar
My Black Mage over there is- WAS, I should say- my character in a BYOND game... A not-so-massive MMORPG. MORPG, I guess? I'd been playing for a few years, and while I wasn't exactly "popular", I had earned a degree of respect amongst the regulars, and I knew the game pretty well.
I stuck with my name and avatar, though. Speaking of my name, I got it from a fantasy name generator because I suck at making fantasy names.
I had generated a last name, too, but I ended up never using it, and I can't even remember it anymore.
Goodness, that was a lot of drama, and it was just a summary. Felt good to tell the tale, though.
Spoiler: A tragic tale of dramaIt still haunts me in my dreams, too. We always joked that it was impossible to quit that game... I guess it wasn't just a joke, after all.

Re: Explain Your Avatar
If you don't know what my avatar is a sprite-edit of, then you cannot call yourself a retro gamer. Get equipped with: TRUSTY .32
The last slug from my trusty .32 punched through the hoodlum's beat-up bowler and sent him to the ground. I remembered slaps from dames that hurt more than that probably did, but even still, couldn't help but feel sorry for the guy.

Re: Explain Your Avatar
Daggerfall fans might recognize mine. It's a statue in Shedungent (Nulfaga's chamber, to be precise). You can use it, and a tapestry in a neighboring corridor, to skip through nearly all of the dungeon by typing SHUT UP in the command prop that appears when you engage it. My title is what the statue says when engaged. Daggerfall is bar-none my favorite game of all time and for some reason I always found this thing interesting.
