Re: [3.3!] FINAL DOOMER +
I don't see what you mean too long to deploy, all weapon switching is much faster and the powerfist is much more spammable than the vanilla fist if you click quickly. "Deploy" was probably the wrong word. I meant as far as charging it to a point where it will actually do significant damage ...

Re: DOOM Tribute Project (ALT SOUNDTRACK AVAILABLE)
I apologize for the bump (again) but it appears I might have been mistaken. What I thought was an impassable door due to some zdoom/gzdoom specific thing turned out that it was a mis-set compatibility flag. I usually play with doom strict- ish settings (so strict set as default but I turn off ...

Re: [3.3!] FINAL DOOMER +
Fine, but what I said about the arc-blaster still stands. As it is it is more or less useless due to the extended time to kill because of its new projectile.

Re: [3.3!] FINAL DOOMER +
Having played around a bit with the BTSX set, here are my two cents on the machreaper: I think I have to take the side that doesn't enjoy it so much, but that's not because of the concept. Using it as a melee weapon for max damage is fine. I think what really brings it down is the fact that it uses ...

Re: [3.2!] FINAL DOOMER +
The difference of not picking up ammo you are full on, therefore not wasting bfg ammo if you're full on it, but not full on other types of ammo. Yeah that's pretty obvious, I don't know why I didn't realize that... derp Because it can't be changed on the fly. I see. That's fair enough. Though now I ...

Re: [3.2!] FINAL DOOMER +
Nope. To clarify, I meant that in the sense of "is that a thing that could be added in a later update". If that answer still applies, can I ask why? Large ammo pickups give you BFG ammo Cell ammo pickups give you BFG ammo Large ammo pickups spawn seperate BFG ammo pickups around themselves Cell ...

Re: [3.2!] FINAL DOOMER +
On that note, is it possible for that to be toggled? There are a couple of platforming challenges out there that rely on the vanilla walking speed (where running is too fast and you'd hit a wall, but the current default is too slow to make those jumps). While I'm at it: Could someone give me a ...

Sorry about the bump but I've been without computer access for two months.drfrag wrote:Does it run with LZDoom at least?Dr. Shotgun wrote:Despite the text file saying zdoom 2.7 and up should work, I can confirm that it doesn't.
Edit: it does. What about GZDoom?
Anyway, I can't test it with GZDoom.

Re: [Release] Laz Rojas' WolfenDoom for ZDoom
Just gave the new version a spin. The ammo rebalancing and removal of dog food from the items% are greatly appreciated.
I'd say this is a legitimately good alternative (albeit different) way to play Wolfenstein 3D now. Fun way to kill time.

Re: [Release] Laz Rojas' WolfenDoom for ZDoom
I'm not sure if it's the same thing, but I know there are a couple of maps with an incomplete kill count because in order to create the "ambient" dog barks, the maps literally just contain an out of bound dog. I think another "ambient" sound is linked to an invisible mancubus, too.

Re: Fall of Society for ZDOOM
Just finished it (well as far as I could at least). I enjoyed it. It was aesthetically pleasing, gameplay was fairly balanced for the most part (just straight classic-style doom in that department; can't go wrong there), not any signifcant "screw yous" of note... and the new enemies were given ...

Unlikely, I think. This "mysterious person" likes to make his stuff more accessible to those without high-end machines.Gorman Frebmane wrote:Hopefully they keep it to gzdoom and not kneecap it by making it do double duty
