No, you can only make them fly up and down.

You'd be ebtter off making the UFO a big Thng, like a monster, but flying a round a patrol route with no A_Look Flag.

1) It'd be better to ask this on the GZDoom forum.
2) 3D Floors can only move vertically, not horizontally.
3) You could make a MD2/Model and move it.

If you're using GZDoom, post on the GZDoom forums.

Using models in GZDoom, this should be possible. I'm not sure if it's fully implemented as yet, but it should be in the near future.

EDIT: Drat. :glare:

Actually, it might be possible I think if you made several hundred sectors that would constantly instantly change heights and textures so that it looked like it were moving, a la RTC-3057's ceiling fans. But considering that would be far too much work as it is compared to using a model or even a sprite, it would be a major waste of time.

If you're okay with severely restricting the effect and interactivity, you might be able to get away with nesting skyboxes. Used right, they can be pretty convincing. Check out this thread for an example I put together on that some time ago.
