Well, the vortex rifle had some little helps by encater, the reapeater rifle was mine.
This is more of a suggestion weapon for meta doom since im here to help and support the project

Fair enough, I'm just pretty big on citing my sources. Those who forget the mistakes of the past, etc. etc...

The Vortex Rifle and Repeater are sitting alongside the Hellshot on DO4M things that I'd like to adapt to MetaDoom, but I'm not sure how to do so, as all the niches they take up are already filled pretty nicely by weapons I've already added and I'm cautious about going down a path that ends up with five very similar weapons on each keyslot... as you might be aware from my copious bitching earlier on in the thread.

Kinda like how Death Foretold (D4T) also omitted those weapons because of redundancy. I'd give the burst rifle a pass as a bullet-based sniping weapon though; it could be occasionally dropped by the rifle-toting zombiemen and you can call it the Sig-Cow or something that references the novels.

Speaking of which, are you going to reference the novels or is it confined to the games only?

I think it'd be funny to change the obituaries for the basic monsters to reference the made-up names from the first book. Like "steamdemon" or "spidermind."

Yep. Enchanter did the original RIP of the Repeater's iron sights, and I tried to make it look like an ADS sprite for Neccronixis's Doom IV Repeater (I think one time, I requested if anyone could make the sprite look a bit better and more Doom-y or something similar). Well, there's one part of the gun. Don't know about the rest of the gun though.

During the development of the Plasma Rifle, a number of failed prototypes were produced. This one, however, failed in such a unique and interesting way that it was developed further into a weapon of its own right, channeling plasma energy into a semi-predictable, short range stream of agony. However, users should keep in mind that it doesn't cause demons to "flinch", necessitating usage of evasive manouvers like circle-strafing for effective use.

Alternate Fire launches an unstable ball of plasma energy that, upon hitting a solid object, blossums into a searing mass of energy that effectively stuns enemies within the blast radius, leaving them easy pickings for other means of attack.

What is wrong with the current sprites? I think it looks very good - at least, on the pictures.

I can't speak for Captain J, but I think his problem with it might be how 3D and video captured it looks. I think it might help if you just took parts of it and combined them with parts of Doom 64's unused weapon that Kaiser believed to be a lightning gun.
