Yeah i figured it could be some of the features i'm using that could prevent him from playing this mod. Just before i post this reply i red dome Doom Touch documentations and it mentioned that it's based on gzdoom 1.8.2 and gzdoom 2.1 pre builds so in theory my mod should workm in theory that is :P .

I just saw a video on youtube of a young boy(seriously he sounded like a 10yo boy :lol: ) but he showed how to play with the most recent gzdoom 2.1 pre builds - simply by choosing the build before playing. However i wonder how practical it is to play my mod on mobiles, i mean there is a tone of key configurations to do to play this mod and it might be too much for such a small device to handle the controls because the controls seem limited with Doom Touch.

Anyways after viewing a few more videos i noticed something ... doom looks better on mobile than it looks on PC :P

To be honest i never expected someone to play a Doom mod on mobile devices. I knew Doom could be played on mobiles but i thought it was just the original iwads and not mods.

Small update about the PSX AvP 1.3 version

Revision 2 is well underway and i want to show you the progress i made so far.



As you can see in the video almost all changes i made on the normal AvP 1.3r1 have been implemented on the PSX version.

The list of changes is the same as for the normal version minor some changes that are :

1 - The Predator class don't starts with all his weapons anymore, now the class starts with the stealth generator and the speargun, all the other weapons are acquired by finding them.
2 - The # of spears are back to 50 without backpack and 100 with it
3 - Addition of a random weapon for the Predator(If you see a smartgun with a flashing "?" that's the random weapon for the Predator)

I'm presently trying to implement footstep sounds but it's not working, once i figured out how to make it works i will release this revision.

As always, comments and suggestions are welcome :)

EDIT : Here is a better quality video( 1680x1048 recorded at 60FTS with bandicam)



For some reasons recording with bandicam at 30fps at high screen resolutions results in a fuggy, pixelized video that looks really bad. So i'll record at 60fps on bandicam from now on, the video looks cleaner that way.

Personally i think it's looking better but the downside is it makes the video a lot more bigger but i guess it's the price to pay for quality :lol:

I have a good and a bad news, lets start with the good one.

I made a no-reload version of AvP 1.3r1 i called AvP 1.3 r1 Classic

Obviously you don't have to reload any weapons on that version.

EDIT : Ho and about the bad news, PSX AvP delayed indefinitivly. New release date unknown and .. it's still 130Mo :P

He was the only person posting in this thread up to now, so many he felt there was lack of interest for it? I'm interested in this! I am obsessed with the Predator franchise.

The more AVP mods the better! I think it just got a little confusing in this thread because there are so many versions.

I have a few things to announce.

First i'm gonna give this mod another try(you have to thank jdredalert because he is the one who convinced me to continue this mod at least for a little while)

Secondly don't expect updates as frequently as before.

Finally there is only one version that i'm resuming the development and it's the original AvP version. Meaning the PSX AvP is definitivly abandoned and will not recieve any further update.

Update(s) would be only included in the final release.

When the next update would be released? I don't have a clue to be honest. I intend to modify the Marine and the Predator HUD, rework the balance of the weapons and the monsters stats, some changes into the game mechanics related to the Predator's stealth generator. Also some weapons would be removed and the Accumulator could do a comeback. The Healthshards use won't be linked to the energy remaining but would be usable items independant of the evergy like in AvP 2010 game. Due to some bugs i had to remove the enemy awareness warning. I will have some screenshots for you guys on the work done on the Marine's HUD later today if i can.

Sorry about the abrupt annoncement in december and the lack of reply from my part. Anyways thanks for your supports :)

@Valherran : Things happened (and still going on) in my life and i have less opportinities to work on this mod. That's why i though it was better to stop the project. However afer a little talk with jd i decided to continue to work on it for awhile.

Other changes so far :

1 - Energy management for the Predator class forcing the player to use energy-based weapons more tactically because the energy auto-regeneration rate have been decreased greatly - like in AvP Classic game
2 - Addition of an old tool for the Predator - the Accumulator - with only the energy refil function
3 - Backpacks no longer give Boosters for the Predator and the Xeno classes
4 - The "Alerted Monster Warning" have been removed.
