It's m_hybrid: Hybrid Song 2:20. It's a remix of the Space Jam melody, no lyrics. A version with lyrics was used as the main theme of Barkley: Shut Up and Jam Gaiden, which also has a song in that list up there.

Nope.

Hybrid song 2:20's metadata has this to say:

Code: Select all

        - Funky Stars -

 Composed in jan. -96
 by: Quazar of Sanxion
 In these days of
 1meg/32chnl/16bit-
 tunes, we have to
 preserve the memory
 of the tiny-tunes,
 from which we all
 come from.
So, composed in January 1996.

Space Jam, according to the wikipediots, was released on November 15, 1996, meaning that Quazar of Sanxion had to have a time machine able to go at least eleven months in the past if Funky Stars was a remix of the Space Jam theme.

Also, there are zero common points in the melody or chord progression between the Space Jam theme and Funky Stars.
Spoiler: I don't hear it
Yeah I know BSUAJG mashed up both songs together, but that game is twelve years younger than the song and the Space Jam theme has been mashed up with every other music imaginable; doesn't mean that the Ghostbusters theme song or Pokemon theme song or countless other things are remixes of the Space Jam theme.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure external.xm wasn't the Space Jam theme - however, I can't really disassociate it from said theme ever since Gaiden, so used it in lieu of inserting yet another OGG file in there to bloat the file size up (I was getting kinda self-conscious about it, see).

Although I was briefly tempted to put in a MIDI of "Are You Ready for This?".

Bug report: When you kill a thunderbolt cultist in the middle of his attacking state, the sounds keeps going for a while after his death, similar to the bug WildWeasel mentioned.

EDIT; Also, the wolf3D song in the Lobby can be barely heard.

I'd like to see a full listing of the entire soundtrack and its sources, but I imagine that'll take quite a bit of effort to cobble together. I wonder if I could offer any incentive... too early for me to think straight.

A very lazy way to do that is to drop the PK3 into foobar2000 and watch the playlist build. Most songs are already tagged, though some ones that aren't are obvious what they're from anyway (like some you should damn well know such as Gradius II and III).

foo_gep and foo_dumb components are required to play a bunch of the songs however

Oh damn, I had no idea you could do this. I've got to ask, how did the Lincolnshire Poacher get into the sound files??

It's used for a mini-jackpot (I forget the exact combination, sorry) that replaces the music with that for a round.

Just looked it up in SLADE. It's apparently the 3 9 7 jackpot. Also got a chance to fool around with the riggslots command. That 444 one is real mean, Kinse. Also, do you have a list of all the 999 map changes?

Well now I need to know what 444 does.
