Hrm... My only real qualms with the idea are that...

Well, I don't find it strikingly creative, humorous, or otherwise remarkable. Not that it's necessarily a requirement, of course.
Also, the Eyes would make Cacodemons somewhat redundant. Of course, if Kins tells me to do it, I'd do it. But, as for my two cents, I'd rather put our efforts towards things that are somewhat more grandiose. Y'know, really make an impact!

Wait... is there an Archvile reel? Just, like, a couple dozen mini-archviles that purely resurrect junk? That would be nightmare inducing late-game.

One of the big problems with this is that the corpses of fallen enemies vanish after a little while (when nobody's looking), so as to reduce the number of actors in play. There are already plenty enough issues with lag without piling onto that, so I don't think it's in our best interest to keep corpses around longer so that they can be revived. Plus, since enemies are already coming in steady streams, resurrecting the dead ones seems slightly redundant, doesn't it?

Ah, yeah, that's true. The viles would only really make a difference alongside another stream of enemies, and then it would still be redundant.

Maybe a monster that acts as a support unit in a different way, providing some sort of buff to monsters in the map?

That sounds like a feasible idea to me. The concept is generic enough that there are probably a lot of ways it could be reasonably implemented, and I don't see any major clashes. It would also twist the gameplay just slightly, without completely wrecking it.

Haha, I just thought of something like the Atomic Power Supply Robot from EarthBound, which could heal other monsters and produced a horrible explosion when the players chose to take it out. :D

I've been kind of busy with real-life things and using Source Filmmaker a lot. Ed, I just got your patch, I'll integrate it into my stuff and send you a new build tonight-ish.

Surely, Hissy Fit would be a better name... but yes, I like this idea. I'd probably have to twist it a bit, though, since the Eyes kind of take the Caco role.

Hmm... Now that I think on it, perhaps something could be built upon this Cacodemon theme... Like, maybe an attack by several variations -- I've seen a lot of them floating around (no pun intended :P) and, pending permission from their creators, maybe we could slip them in. So, maybe... the classic Cacodemon, the iconic Hissy plush, the plasticine Cacodemon, and so forth.

On a related note, if I had to come up with a comically stupid new name for Cacodemon, I think I'd call them 'The Severed Head of an Astral Dreadnaught' (Doom history buffs will get what I'm talking about :) ) or as I used to call it for a while: Shaun White, as I've heard both of them referred to as the Flying Tomato.

I wonder what happened if there was a reel jackpot that turned the player into a pony for 60 seconds.

and within that time. you'll be running away from all the bronies that are trying to keep you as a collectable.

You could always include some Eriance variants like Watchers, nerfed Hades Elementals, and maybe a scaled-down Overlord as a unique spawn or somesuch.
