Doom Voice Taunt Mod Generator - One click to make fully functional mod!

Post by Spaceman333 »

Introducing a new layperson friendly software tool to let voice actors (VAs) or casual players (non-modders) to create a Doom II mod with a single click!

Doom Voice Taunt Mod Generator

Download:
https://reactorcore.itch.io/doom-voice- ... -generator

Info:
Basically, you have a folder on your computer with your recorded voicelines or collected audio clips and you can simply use this program to select that folder, press a button and it will create a fully functional addon mod for Doom II with these features:

* Manual Taunt System: Bind any key to play random voice clips on demand
* Smart Auto-Taunt: Automatically plays taunts after kills (configurable frequency and chance)
* Universal Compatibility: Works with any Doom II WAD or gameplay mod
* Zero Conflicts: Won't interfere with player mods, weapon mods, or anything else

Ideally you'd use audio files that are less than 5 seconds long and put less than 99 files per pack, but the upper limit is 999 files.

You can have any character in any mod - including vanilla doomguy - say oneliners on demand or shout taunts automatically after a certain amount of demon kills with a % randomization chance to make it feel more organic.

Why is there a claude.md in the GitHub repository? You might want to explain that with a very good reason why that is there and how much you actually wrote things on your own, assuming you merely used Claude to give basic guidelines only and not use any sort of code generated by it. AI in most cases is extremely frowned upon in the Doom community, while some will disagree, I can tolerate it supplementing (IE slight upscale of sprites to do significant work of your own on, basic advice to write your own DECORATE/ZScript but ZDoom Wiki has more than enough examples) but not being a replacement for actual content made.

Please tell me you WROTE the code yourself..I should figure you should be keeping track of what's going on in the community (given your registration date here), both here and on Doomworld regarding AI.

And you're pretty ballsy to put a couple of these things behind a paywall on Ko-fi but not on Itch.io?.

While you are absolutely correct that use of AI in a mod should be declared and, preferably, explained (as per our rules), please also remember the tone with which you "speak" to people. Your post makes some reasonable requests and observations, but it does so in quite an aggressive, non-supportive manner.
