The Projects forums are only for projects. If you are asking questions about a project, either find that project's thread, or start a thread in the General section instead.
Got a cool project idea but nothing else? Put it in the project ideas thread instead!
Projects for any Doom-based engine (especially 3DGE) are perfectly acceptable here too.
Please read the full rules for more details.

Quake 1 Ogre Sprites
Would anybody happen to have a spriteset for this iconic beast hanging around? I want to include them in a project, but they'd look a bit weird being the only model rip.

Re: Quake 1 Ogre Sprites
When you say sprites, do you mean screencaps of the model at various angles? If so, QDOOM likely has them, but I can't attest to the quality. You could also use the model directly by converting the .mdl to an .md3, unless that's what you mean by it being the only model rip.
Re: Quake 1 Ogre Sprites
I'm on it, ETA a few hours.

Ogre from Quake.

q1ogre.zip
1x and 2x resolution, orthographic and perspective (2x perspective shown in gifs).
Included frames:
Idle
Walk
Run
Swing chainsaw
Smash chainsaw
Fire grenadelauncher
Pain A-E
Death A-B
Start chainsaw (pull starting handle)
Also included:
Frame info
I'd say don't bother with the 1x version, they are mostly just a pixely mess.
880s frames total. Just leave out every second if you fancy a choppier, more vanilla Doom animation style.

Re: Quake 1 Ogre Sprites
QDoom doesn't give permission to use its stuff, so I want to avoid dipping into it.Snarboo wrote:When you say sprites, do you mean screencaps of the model at various angles?
