mp3 Editing programs?

Post by Kirby »

I'm looking for a program that allows you do do sutff to an mp3 using only the computer. In otherwords, I'm worndering if there is a program out there that will let be do things like add distortion, add sounds, increase speed, etc. to parts of an mp3 from the computer alone.

I use Goldwave for what you described, and FL Studio for making techno type music myself. I don't enjoy the techno scene but it's easy to make simple music for my programming projects.

I have FL studio, but it doesn't seem to open mp3's....

EDIT: Thanx for the goldwave suggestion, the full version is working nicely! :D

Yeah, it's a little unstable at times but it's as good as Cool Edit ever was.

I also concur with the Scotsman and the perpetually walking ninja; Goldwave is great. Simple, straightforward and powerful enough for so many different applications. I reccomend it highly.

(/me checks the price of his stock in Goldwave... :) )
