OPTION FOR NOT LOSING INVENTORY UPON DEATH IN CO-OP

this has seriously annoyed me for months! it makes playing harder wads near impossible!

please. please! PLEASE HELP!

I'd rather see a number of options:

- Respawn with keys
- Respawn with weapons and limited ammo (amounts defined by CVARs)
- Respawn with previous inventory
- Drop inventory at death

But I'd settle for the old co-op behavior of keep weapons/keys and start with 25 ammo. It wasn't perfect, but it's far better than the current system.

That seems like a good idea Risen, perhaps the best (really the only seen so far). What tye of system would it work on, checkbox or bullet?

Heh, just like Perfect Dark. You fall down dead and if you were loaded all kinds of guns would fly from you, and you could go back and pick them up before someone else did. Once you did, they all had the ammo in them that you had when you died. I liked that system.
I used to co-op with this person that made some settings that seemed to trick ZDoom into letting you keep your guns and ammo after dying. She had no idea that wasn't really supposed to happen and didn't remember what the dmflags were. :-/
I think I can get by with setting my co-op server to keep weapons after death.
