Wad won't load

Every time i try to load up a wad it ends up playing doom 2 and i'll tryed everything reinstalling zdoom putting all the deta from the zip file into the zdoom folder and turing it into a pk3 im a doing something wrong or is it because im using windows 10

Have you tried running dragging the mod that you want to load onto ZDoom.exe or using one of the [wiki=Frontend]ZDoom Frontends[/wiki]?

You are doing something wrong, so you have to describe what precisely you did.

I unzip my file put the wad in the same folder as zdoom and drag it to zdoom but when i do that it just loads doom 2 the game im using to play to wad not the wad itself

Are you sure you're not trying to launch a Doom 1 PWAD with Doom 2? There was a thread a few days ago exactly with that issue. If the wad you're loading is for Doom 1, load that as an IWAD.

Try to use a bat file:

open notepad, and write

zdoom.exe -iwad doom2.wad -file yourwad.wad

them save like yourwad.bat, and run it
