Hello Chivalrous Ladies and Gents!

I present to you from the makers of "Empire: The Peasants Revolt", a brand new action packed multiplayer supported Medieval Warfare mod!

The project is titled: Chivalry - Medieval DooMfare which would be following the same formula from Chivalry Medieval Warfare for the PC/Xbox 360/and PS4 (with less glitches and bugs hopefully).

Our team consists of: Mehnrues (Backbone of the project/Coder), Strengthof10kBabies ( [Me] Project designer/resources), Pebble the Piglet (Map Designer), Harbinger of Chaos (Playtester)


What we plan on adding for the future is the following:


- Shields for the Knight, Archer, and Man At Arms classes.
- A working functional block feature for all melee weapons.
- Custom player skins for ALL weapons in world view.
- Special class abilities for each class (Archer backstab bonus, Vangaurd charge ability, MAA dodge).
- Special taunts for each player class (done).
- Agatha and Mason Order factions/Weapon loadout selection screens
- A sophisticated combat system (if possible).
- Hopefully ALL of the weapons from Chivalry - Medieval Warfare or MOST of them.
- Different Team Objectives and player missions (Capture the Banner, Peasant Horde mode, Last Team Standing, etc.)
- Classic maps from Chivalry (Argons Wall, Moor, Throne Room, Arena, and more.)
- Anything else we can think of.


What we still need to do:


- Add a stun kick feature for all classes
- Add Throwing Knives for the Man At Arms/Vanguard Classes
- Add Throwing Axes for the Vanguard/Knight Classes
- Add a reset feature for the Archer Bows when he draws his string
- Custom Sprites/Animations for shield raising, blocking, Parrying, etc. for all classes
- Code in a responsive combat system in between players (if possible)
- Find an experienced coder/sprite artist for these roles
- Code in a select able faction screen for Agatha/Mason and Custom weapon loadouts
- Add various gamemodes
- Voice commands like "Yes, No, Thank You, Follow Me, etc."

This looks like it should strictly be a heretic and hexen mod but other than that good job so far.

That's a pretty strange thing to say, considering how many mods with much more modern weaponry initially made for Doom have been updated to be compatible with Heretic in the least.

We want to expand the player base as much as possible. So we are releasing three versions of the mod for heretic, hexen, and DooM 2 (this will give players more versatility to choose between vanilla games). When we have our maps, features, and custom game modes in place, we will separate the stand alone weapons pack as a alternative download. Right now we are primarily focusing on DooM 2 for the core mod.

I wasn't really saying anything negative about it i was only saying it'll be kinda strange playing as a medieval knight in the tech stages, in short if my earlier comment sounded a bit strange lol. It's still a great little mod i've been playing it in heretic with the masters of chaos mod, would love to see custom enemies to replaces the monsters in both of the doom and heretic mods.

Isn't there a way you guys can put the chivalry models in a viewer and take snapshots? that would help with the sprites at least

I know that there were other wads out there that did exactly what you suggested (Like the CoD WW2 and MW2 games). The problem is that I wouldn't even know where to begin finding the proper software to do such a thing (If there are any links to the author that made those RGA wads with tuitorials please let me know. I can attempt to edit and crop the screenshots frame by frame for each weapon.) That would help with ALL the weapons we had planned for.

great stuff! you should collab with the creator of Revolting Peasants mod as they are both similar.. also makes me wish there was just a full Witchaven Grondoval player class lol

Mehnrues is the coder for this mod (the same one whom you mentioned). I think I already explained that in the description.
