how do I create and edit an ANIMDEFS lump.

Post by mikenet2007 »

I saw some examples of ANIMDEFS, but couldn't actually find how to create one. I have slade3, can I use this?

Any help on where I put the lump and info on how to edit would be very helpful. What I'm wanting to do is create a texture that warps like quake style liquids. I used to do these types of texture edits years back but I've forgotten most of what I learned.

Thanks in advance

I scrolled through that a little, I don't see where I put the lump though, maybe I missed it? Can I just use slade 3 and make a new marker called ANIMDEFS, then edit it?

ANIMDEFS is a text-based special lump, just like DECORATE, SNDINFO and the like.

If you are using the traditional namespace structure, then have a look at Cheogsh.wad
Spoiler:

and it you are using the pk3 file structure, then have a look at paranoid.zip
Spoiler:
If you are wondering about the icons, I made my own.
