Need Strife Weapon Sprites or Newer version of WinTex

Post by AlecTheGreen »

I need the Strife Crossbow HUD sprites for a mod I'm making and my version of WinTex doesn't support Strife.
I need them in a doom\doom2 WAD(Doom Colormap)

if anyone could get them for me in a wad or a version of WinTex that supports Strife it would be much appreciated.

[Edit] My version of WinTex is 41[/Edit]

Well then use it correctly. There was a time I opened DOOM2.WAD everyday and it worked perfectly.

Hmm... Re-Download XWE?

To open an iwad you open it exactly like a PWad

Is your IWAD set to Read-Only? If it is XWE won't open it, at least the version I have acts that way.

Don't forget:

DeepSea = ugly, convoluted, reliable. (don't know about Strife support) :D

Well, I'm not sure about the ugly and convoluted (as most people know, I like it) but Strife support is full, including being compatible with all the lump tools. (So graphics extraction works just fine.)

I don't know why so many people have problems with XWE. I've been making backups every time I use it because of the stories I heard but never once have I used them.

I'd certainly much rather use XWE than Wintex. IMO, Wintex is a horrible, horrible, horrible program. Badly laid out, illogical, unreliable and (due to its age) cannot cope with modern features properly.

Heh, if CodeImp makes a DoomTex, that would be sweet. About DeepSea, its design looks a bit amateurish, compared to DB, which has the looks of a well designed and made commercial product. Kinda like WinTex and XWE, methinks.
