* Some item rearrangement
* New shield weapons (Gib a Centaur and steal his shield!)
* Quietus can now be used without mana
* Dark Servant is more aggressive
* Ettin has new AI
* Afrit has new AI
* Gib a centaur and steal his shield to use it! The shield will disappear over time so pick one up while you can. Having the shield selected gives all classes some passive protection.
* The Fighter's primary is a strong shieldbash and the alt gives slightly more protection.
* The Cleric's primary is a medium shieldbash and the alt makes the shield reflective of projectiles.
* The Mage's primary is a weak shieldbash and the alt fires a Slaughtar fireball.
Up and coming:
Code: Select all
* First weapon altfires
* More enemy AI
* New artifacts
* Further refinements to item prevalence
* Shield destructability
It is a wad that replaces all existing item placements in Hexen or Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel with pottery jars. Breaking pottery jars reveals random items.
This mode is similar to a mode I made on MM8BDM. It is inspired by the gameplay success I found there.
ZDoom Exclusive!
- Special new SBARINFO that displays AC and weapon pieces on large screen settings!
Spoiler:Specifics
- Artifacts are randomized.
- Weapons are randomized, and still go by player class placement.
- 4th weapon pieces can result from mana jars and are rare.
- There is a Rune sphere which currently respawns and gives a random rune effect
- Armor is much more common making this fun for Deathmatch
- There is less health overall
Planned features
- Some monster randomization, at least Heretic Minotaurs and SOMETHING LIKE Doom2 Archviles possibly Pain Elementals
- Improved statistical weighting for Armor and Artifacts other than Flechette or Discs
Recommendations
- Play on Co-op, Deathmatch, or Single Player.
- Theoretically any mode that supports items will be supported in this.
- Rune sphere isn't effective in ZDoom because it was a feature intended for Skulltag. Will sort this on the next version.
