[WIP]Heretic Might of Magic

Mod Name to be finalized but heres the deal, i see alot of heretic sprites around, not many being made into a project, so i have compiled them all together into this little bit of random spawning fun! Weapons are getting tweaked and changed, nothing is set in stone.

Thats right ALOT of weapons to play with, alot of mayhem to be had, and it all spawns randomly. monsters are a plan to be incorporated. All weapons have a power up function via tome of power.

Weapons :

Trident : Most powerful melee weapon, powered up increased attack speed.

Spear : Not as powerful as a trident, but it makes for long range, powered up moves faster and hits harder.

Flail : yup a flail, flog away, powered up does more damage and has a random secondary hit

Staff : the basic weapon, unchanged, you start with it.

Sword : yes chop up your foes with a sword!, powered up does fire damage, and shoots 6 small fireballs

Gauntlets : Same old gauntlets, new dark ages smell....

Gold Wand : Basic wand, unchanged.

Saphire Wand : Fires a freeze ball at thine foes! Powered up fires A Flurry of ice! Uses Saphire Wand Ammo

Jade Wand : Basic projectile does light poisoning with additive time, powered up medium poisoning with additive damage and time. Uses Jade Wand Ammo

Ruby Wand : Fire a Doom imps fire ball of light damage, Powered up fires 3 manicubus fireballs at medium damage. Uses Ruby Wand Ammo

Crossbow : Same old cross bow, Same old power.

Super Crossbow : Fires double the amount of ethereal arrow, powered up as well, this weapon uses 2 arrows per uses.

Iron Cross Bow : fires a iron bolt that rips through thy foes, powered up increases the rate of fire. Uses Iron Bolt Ammo

FireMace : Yup still here and still preforming as expected

Thunder Fork : Fires a Twin blast Electrical vengeance, Powered up fires twin d'sparil blasts Uses Blaster Ammo

Blaster : Yup this is a dragon claw alright....

Skull Rod : Unscathed, and unaltered

Skull Staff : Fires a Purple Blast of Energy to harm your foes, powered up fires a row of energy that causes the very ground to rise up and jab the foes as they fly past Uses Skull Rod Ammo

Phoenix Rod : Still here and still ready too cook

Wand Of Hellfire : Fires A big blast of fiery doom towards your foes, exploding upon into a flaming burst, Powered up fires a fire ball that upon impact splits into a nova a fireballs, that explode and fling magma upon impact. Uses Wand Of Embers Ammo

Wand Of Embers : Fires a small shotgun style blast of small fireballs, powered up is super-shotgun style.Uses Wand Of Embers Ammo

Fire Gauntlets : Throw a ball of lava at your foes, watch it explode into a small pattern of magma, powered up launches a devastating Nova of fire. Uses Phoenix Rod Ammo

Cloning Staff : Creates a clone of yourself randomly attacks with most basic attacks, Powered attacks with most basic powered up attacks. Uses Soul Ammo

Blood Scepter : Steals life from the thy foes and gives it to you, powered up Launches a massives explosion of blood.

Apotheosis : Fires Ball Lighting that fires lighting at passing targets, Powered up creates more. Uses Blaster Ammo

Raven Staff : Launches 5 raven claws at the target, powered up fires homing ravens to peck away at the unwanting victims. Uses Egg Ammo

Wyvern staff : Summons A Green Heretic imp to fight for you, powered up summons 3. Uses Egg Ammo

Soul Switcher : Fires a projectile that eats away at the evil in the souls of the wicked, thus turning them against former foes, does not work on lesser creatures, Powered up fires a Projectile that will bounce and home in on targets and rip trough there very essence, THIS weapon WILL NOT affect minotaurs, d'sparil rider, or d'sparil . Uses Soul Ammo

Serpent Cult Staff : Fires Red magic sparking towards your foes, scorching the earth with its ashes as it bounces around, Powered up Makes it swarm. Uses Cult Ammo

Scepter Of Souls : Rapidly eats the souls away of its victims giving its life to you, powered up steals more life. Uses Soul Ammo

dsparil's staff : Fires the Same thing D'sparil's would, powered up summons 2 friendly wizards Uses Blaster Ammo

Light Bringer : Fires a homing sun fire ball that bounces, powered up Just blows up everything. Uses Light Bringer Ammo

Frost Fang : Fires a Rapid volley of cold blasts at your foes, Powered up fires large cones of cold. Uses Ever ice Ammo

GodsWraith : No sound, like god's wraith would ever be hear or ever saw coming, just kills everything, NO powered up. Uses Both Jade and Ruby Ammo

Book Of Confusion : Fires a Sonic bolt of energy that stuns your foes, Powered up fires 5 at once, THIS weapon WILL NOT affect minotaurs, d'sparil rider, or d'sparil. Uses Skull Rod Ammo

Arcanis Arc : Summons a Arc of ethereal energy like a disc to fling at your foes, Hold the fire button down hold the disk rotating in front for you, "sawing' away at your foes, Powered up fires 5 discs. Uses Mace Ammo

HShotgun : Yes this shotgun, with hand and reload custom to heretic. Fires a barrage of pellets at the victim, powered up fires a wall of pellets. ( filler weapon ) Uses Shell Ammo

There is custom ammo that randomly spawns, Barrels are destroyable and can find random items, Weapons or ammo inside.
More to be worked on here, a full credit list is being made as additons are added. Thank you Bag oF holding...... Mayhaps that'll be the name of my mod Bag oF Holding...... heh

No release date as of yet, going to add monsters, like the wizard with dual shotguns ect.

Yes there is alot of weapons, but unless you use the give all cheat, your most likly not to find them all by the end of the episode.

You need to put a lot of thinking here for balance and such so it doesn't turn out to be just a randomizer mod with a lot of stuff in it.

there are alot of things "planned" however doesnt mean it will end up that way or even close to the plan. Like i stated above, unless you cheat, you're most likely not to get EVERY weapon in the game. Lots dont spawn any ware, but are coded in, same with the ammo. Lots of these items are "treasure" that drops at a very low chance when u destroy a barrel. The Baddies that are going to be put in will have attacks close to the wand they're mimicking, and will have a low chance to drop that weapon once killed. A limiter is planned to make it so you can only have a limited amount of weapons at a time, however its not quite there yet. It will be kinda like ROTT, you have access to alot of weapons, just have to drop one to pick up anouther of its subtype.

I really don't see the problem with that; Heretic needs more fantasy-themed mods. It needs more mods, period!

Too many weapons, yes. It's best to have them all in small batches that are coherent with each other, rather than tossing a bunch together.
If you HAVE to have that many weapons, why not separate them into classes? Like you did with your Corvus/Marine mod, have one person use the wands while another person uses the more physical weapons, while another person uses the gothic weapons.

If you just throw so many at a person, it's unbelievably likely that there'll A: Be overlaps with other weapons, and B: Clutter up the weapon space so people won't be able to get to the weapon they want in time.

If ya read what i write, A limiter is planning on being added, so you can only have 1 type of wand in its subclass, like one minor wand (slot 1) for example, and in order to pick up a different wand you need to drop your other one, That code is working in progress. So you will only have a MAX of 10 ( 1 - 0 key slots ) of weapons to use at a time. To make a class mod, could work, however, it wasnt the plan. Also all those weapons in the first video, do not appear like that, that was just done for the video to show its all there.

However here is a preview of the Shotgun Wizard.


He was the idea to add a useable shotgun to the wad, one of the many sheets i found in my heretic sprite pile.
