Sprite angles ,music loops and skulltag problem

Post by Chronos »

Is there any way to make sprites don't move with player's viewport.I mean to make sprite static and don't to turn around with how player look at it.
And second problem is that when i set music and sounds they sometimes start looping. Is there anyway to force music or sound to play only once?
Third is that after i launched installed skulltag98a i got some sound delays(in menu,in game). How could it be fixed?

For no. 1 just use a midtexture, not a sprite, otherwise you would have to use a flat 3D model. For no. 2 just open the file in a music editing program and resave it, sometimes sound files have built in looping and this seems to remove it. No. 3 is probably a bug in the latest Skulltag.

For no. 3, Skulltag now uses ZDoom's new sound system, so mess around with the settings until it sounds better. Look for "buffer size" and "buffer count".

Audacity is good:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Just open the sound file then export it again, gets rid of looping for me. :)
