Doom Builder Map Units

Is someone knows what 1 map unit in doom equals to?
If yes please answer in 1 (metre) = somenumber (map units)

Well, if doomguy is meant to be a 6ft space marine, and his height is 56 pixels (roughly) then 1 metre is probably about 32 pixels. No idea for sure though.

16 map units on the ground is 1 foot wide.
10 map units high is 1 foot tall.

Don't remember where this information came from.

I like metric myself too. I'd find having such a reference helpful for re-creating real life buildings and places with more accuracy.

One of my brother's friends once posited the question: "What IS a 'Country Mile'?" to which my brother responded, in a faux-southern accent, "Doesn't matter, so long as it can't be converted to metric!!!"

Somehow, the prospect of actually hearing someone say "so long as" in a southern accent makes me chuckle. Such sophisticated language for a humble farmboy. xP

I'm sure it was pronounced more like "s'longuzz". :P
