ZDoom achievements

Imagine if ZDoom had achievements like on xbox live (FYI achievements are like rewards certain xbox games have for doing various things. I.e Doom on xbox lives has an achievement called "clean slate" for getting 100% kills in any map. Other players can see what achievements you have.)

Let's think up some funny ones. Don't be restricted to doom, doom2, strife, hexen, heretic either! Think pwads too!


Rocket Ranger - Kill the boss brain on Doom2 map30 without hitting the elevator switch.

Adventurer - Obtain the good ending on Phocas Island 2.

Ghostbuster - Punch Sjas on Ghoul's forest 2.

Whoops! - Crash ZDoom.

Plumber Wannabe - Jump on a player's head online.

Mother Clucker - Win a match on ZDoom Catch the Chicken without losing the chicken once.

What Do We Have Here? - Skip the open area in MAP03.

Bullet Time - Beat the game on HMP or higher without getting hit by a Chaingunguy, Shotgunguy, or Zombieman.

Awesome Kung-Fu - With zharky.wad loaded, beat the game using only your fists.

Super Sonic Racing - Beat atleast half of the levels within half of their par, while beating the others within the par.

Boxing Star - Punch a cyberdemon to death.

Serial Killer - Get 100% kills on every level of doom2.

Give Peace a Chance - beat the game on a pacifist run (barring map30 of course)

Pathfinder - find 100% secrets in all the maps

Blast from the Past - get to the secret maps in Doom 2

Sadomasochist - finish the game on Nightmare

Sniper - excessively use pistol/chaingun "tapping"

Killer - shoot a man

Cornered, Wounded, and Breathing in my own Toxic Fumes - As a Cleric, get kill by your own flechette.

Railgunner - Kill multiple enemies with one wand shot as a mage.

ARGLASFLHSAF - Get telefragged by D'Sparil.

Wrong One, Sir - Destroy the Front's power couple.

Imp Encounter - stare at an impse sprite for longer than 10 seconds

Genocide - beat nuts.wad without cheating

Lucky Star - get more than 3 mega shoe explosions under a minute when using shoe power in Decorate Stuff

Bored much? - leave Doom running for at least 2 hours without closing the game

Glitch Exploiter - Get the Serious Bomb in Justice - Infernal Mechanics and use strafe-running into a wall at least once to obtain an item in any map that you can't normally reach (any other glitch based acheivements could go in here)

Stubborn Fool! - Kill a cyberdemon with your pistol

Action Addict - Find every ending on Action Doom 2

Best. Gun. Ever. - Kill 10 zombiemen in one BFG9000 shot (I've done this on the Aliens Doom I have on my HD... there's a room which made the whole "eat this!" quote when firing that gun so worthwhile...)

Indestructable - Beat AV, HR, HR2, KS, DV and DV2 on UV (any other obscenely hard wads can go here too)

Constipation - Kill a LandCarrier in Virus without it dropping off any of it's load (Nice and easy if you get the right powerup, probably impossible otherwise)

Fetish - Find every impse in TARD

Grand WeaponSmith- create a weapon in DECORATE using at least three creative tricks with the default states (examples include multiple flash states, using A_WeaponReady outside of the Ready states, animations in raise, lower, or ready states...)

Second Doomer- make a map of your house.

Moron: Shoot teammates off of bridges in cooperative games.
Idiot: Intentionally telefrag teammates in cooperative games.
Git: Block narrow corridors so your teammates can't continue, in cooperative games. (I know people who've done all three)

Frankenstein: Make a monster.
Doctor Frankenstein: Make a monster with multiple attacks (melee doesn't count).
Professor Frankenstein: Make a monster with multiple attacks, one advanced special ability, and two different modes.

Heh, these should be archived, and then people can check the list and add it to their profile/sig or whatever

• ControlFreak: Spend more time adjusting CVars and Menu options than actually playing in any one session.
• Vain: Spend extra effort to make a multiplay skin unique to you. And actually use it.
• GOD: Create a TC that replaces all the resources in the IWAD
• Demi-God: Create a TC that uses only unique resources, but still needs the IWAD to run.

Rip and Tear - Kill all the monsters on a map using only the Berserk pack.

Picky - Complete one episode of Doom using only one weapon.

Passive Aggression - Kill the Spider Mastermind using only monster infighting.

Dalai Lama - Beat Zen Dynamics using only the machete outside of boss fights and Map 4; find both endings, and find all secret areas.

Consumed Too Fast - Speedrun "Thy Flesh Consumed" in under 5:30

Cain and Abel - Get two Barons of Hell to fight each other.

Suicidal Tendencies - Kill a cyberdemon using your fist.

Late Release - Convince Enjay to release Aspects (Note, this one is worth 999990 points :P)

Tasteless - Find Glassyman's wads funny.

Neighborhood- make a multiple house outdoors map.

Community Chest- participate in a group project

WAD connoisseur- review 20 mods at Doomworld.
