Here're some questions:
1. With DeePsea, how do you import LUMPs? How do you even make LUMPs (MAPINFO, to be percise) anyway?
2. With DeePsea, how do I import "sprites?" It probally doesn't matter, since I'm using the old DecEdit. (the one that allow you to test actors.)
3. b it posiball 2 csat jymp? (Is it possible to cause a monster to speedily go up and then fall down on the target, damaging the target when the user lands?)
4. Whenever I combine WADs with DeePsea to connect levels, the first level goes away.
5. How do you keep from losing custom weapons?
Thanks in advanced.

Hehe, calling Enjay to thread!
He's the resident DeePSea expert around here... I've never used it myself but its wad manager is supposed to be halfway-decent.
If you're looking for some type of alternative though, SLumpEd wins.
I just hope SlayeR doesn't smite me for the direct linkage.

I'm not Enjay, but....
Note, when I say hit F7, or F6, that's from the editing window, with just the map itself open. Hope that's clear enough.
1. First hit F7, then Merge Multiple FILES into one PWAD.
When you're there, click ADD files, and add the ones you want, then click OPEN TARGET FILE, there you pick the wad to save to. You can delete anything that you want to merge, in case you didn't want it there. When you have selected all your files, click SAVE ALL FILES, right under the Target File button.
To make MAPINFO, SNDINFO, ANIMDEFS, and SCRIPTS, hit f6. There you have a bunch of options, it should be self explanatory. At least for those, Deepsea changes regular .txt files to lumps that work in Zdoom.
2.Import sprites the same way as in 1. You then have to go to Rename-Ins-Del PWAD Names (same menu, f7), find where your sprites are that you have merged, and add SS_Start at the beginning of the sprites, and S_End at the end of them.
4.You're probably over-writing the original level. Use the merge tool, and merge the maps that way. If you're still confused, don't hesitate to ask.
5.If by that question you mean if you give them to yourself using the console, e.g. "give shotgun", and you select a different weapon and can't go back, you have to add a KEYCONF lmp that adds a button to select the weapon you want. You can find this in the wiki, just search KEYCONF.
Hope that helps.

XWE is crash frenzy and will corrupt your hardworked WAD faster than you can say XWE.
Use SLumpEd instead. http://mancubus.net/~slayer/files/slumped_05.zip

XWE rarely crashes or corrupts wads, unless you're foolhardy about using it. I've never had it crash, and I've only had it corrupt a wad once in about 4 years of use, which wasn't a problem anyway because I had Doom Builder backups. It's no problem to recommend SLumpEd as an alternative, and indeed, anyone who hasn't used XWE or SLumpEd should probably start with SLumpEd, but there's no to need to tell exaggerated tales about XWE.

Then you obviously haven't used the latest betas, which has features that 1.16 doesn't support like PNG support, PNG offsets, etc.
I used to think that maybe it was my old computer, but even with a new computer rig, XWE can corrupt my WAD even if I don't do anything (open WAD, stare at the screen for a few minutes, then click on a lump, BANG; WAD gets corrupted).
I'm not talking about doing things it was never meant to do. Even basic stuff like editing a single line in a MAPINFO lump, or adjusting a graphics offset can lead to a random crash and WAD corruption. It's like a hit and miss thing. I haven't even started talking about stuff like moving or cut/copy and pasting hundreds of entries around the WAD.
I was a very, VERY loyal XWE user and patiently used the betas and supported Csabo, in hopes that he'll one day fix the random WAD mangling issues.
Last week (after several months of staying away from XWE), I decided to give XWE another chance, thinking, "maybe Csabo fixed the WAD corrupting". Downloaded the latest beta, which has a newer date than the older copy I have.
Nope. It's still doing the nonsense that has frustrated me and led me to switch to SLumpEd. :/

Without the source it's hard to tell but from my experience XWE is fundamentally flawed. Instead of working with the WAD data offline it seems to keep the file constantly open and write back to it. Unless this is completely changed there will always be the risk of WAD corruption.
You simply don't design tools like that!
