Allow me to comunicate my opinion, that you sir are an asshole!
With that being said, I'm pretty sure Eriance, that there are a lot of people out there, that will actually enjoy playing your Demon Eclipse mod and wich appreciate the load of effort that has been put into it!
I certainly did!
Heck, alone the new weapon and monster sprites classify this wad as one of the best releases this year IMO.

Allow me to communicate the facts: You have not seen this weeks t/nc, you have no idea what kind of review that I gave. Instead you fucked up and made an assumption. The facts of my previous post are:Vader wrote:Allow me to comunicate my opinion, that you sir are an asshole!

- I am reviewing this wad in this weeks The /newstuff chronicles.
- It is a CPU eater
- I have already submitted my review ("Actually your praying is in vain...")
- I just gave it a one word review of 'Shit' (though after the above I'm tempted to re-review it as such)
Christ some people take newstuff reviews way to seriously.
Well, your previous post gave the feeling you actually would/did give the mod a very bad review, based on the fact that it is a 'CPU eater'.
Not only that, but it seemed you also were proud of that, just like:
"hey I do this weeks newstuff and I give your wad a bad review, because I'm able to."
If that's not the truth, I honestly apologize, but I guess I'll wait for t/nc to prove me wrong!
I guess I've just misread and misinterpreted your post,
mostly because of my general opinion of yours, based on the posts you did on these forums up to date!

Now that would be indeed very childish... besides that, I don't even have anything to do with his project.though after the above I'm tempted to re-review it as such
Of course you have the right to state your own opinion, but coming into this thread (regarding the impressions I got after your previous post) and feel like the almighty god of wad-judgement just isn't the right approach IMO.Not only that, what I do actually give as a review is nothing more or less than my opinion on the wad. I do believe I have the right to freely hold an opinion.

For the record I did believe that at some point while reviewing I thought my poor Pentium M was just going to kick the bucket. This because I could hear a jet engine revving inside my laptop. And I use capped frames. Also, I do not give WADs bad reviews because I can, I give bad wads bad reviews because they are bad. I often come into everywhere with a nice air of godhood. Its very pleasant to breathe.Vader wrote:Well, your previous post gave the feeling you actually would/did give the mod a very bad review, based on the fact that it is a 'CPU eater'.

What I gave was was an honest critique of the WAD from my perspective. According to my dictionary that is sufficient to qualify as a review. You have to read it to see if I thought it was good or bad.
Graf: I have high expectancies of you as well.

@Chis: Hm, I really have no idea why it doesnt work. I most likely forgot to put the "FAST" properties for some of the projectiles and monsters. I'll go fix that and see if it changes things.
@DoomerX: It's obvious that your didn't use V-Synch with GZdoom, because your issue sounds just like one of the things mentioned by Graf on the GZdoom forums. So whatever "CPU-eating" that has been happening to you, has nothing to do with my mod; IF your computer is as good as you say it is. And even if it is WAS eating your CPU, it fail to see how it automatically implies that it eats EVERYONE's CPU. The bottomline is, it's not a CPU-Eater if it's only eating your CPU.

.....How fucking [censored word] can you be. Under the same conditions then hardware will have the same strain placed on it, it doesn't matter if one is a Core 2 Extreme and GeForce 7950 and the other is a Athlon XP and a Radeon 9200, both are going to have the same load put on them. How much that strain affects the individual system is another matter, the Athlon XP is going to choke and die under pressure that wouldn't much bother the Core 2, but the idea that they receive a different amount of load is almost (not quite) as [censored word] as your typing skills.

If capped frames is slower than vsync or a certain set of settings is required then a certain source port programmer needs to figure out what the fuck hes doing. Or maybe you just read what you wanted to.For the record I did believe that at some point while reviewing I thought my poor Pentium M was just going to kick the bucket.
