Hello to everyone. Doom has been around for along time and its going to be 20 years old in 2016 it doesn't seem like its been 20 years since the game came out but it had alot of updates new features new levels being made and pretty much anybody can make a level or a new character. But in the near future of doom what kind of new things are we going be to look for?
Who will take over Doom in the future and what about the other doom engine games zdoom, gzdoom, skulltag, hexen, Zand, scoredoom, and more. Whats going to happen to them.
But the question is Do you know what's going to happen for all Doom communitys?
20 years from now?

Re: 20 years from now?
Doom 3 didn't kill the doom community, so I doubt Doom 4 will. We'll probably get some nice new resources out of it though!

Its 2016 and we need to know whats going to be in your future? What's your future going be like.
In the next 20 years from now. Who are you going to be seeing in your future?
Becoming a inventor, becoming a designer for computer, or being something else?
Who are you going to be?

Re: 20 years from now?
I see myself becoming an indie game programmer - if I can break some of my bad habits first, of course. I think I've got most of the skills I need already, I just need to decide on a game idea, actually work on programming more often, and stop worrying that my code isn't optimized to the umpteenth degree.
However, I still doubt that anything I make is going to sell in mass quantities. While there is a growing retro market, I have a feeling they wouldn't be after software rendering, pre-rendered graphics or anything less than a pseudo-retro hard-as-balls platformer... Buuuut that's the thing about the future, I guess. You can never really tell what it'll hold in store for you.

Re: 20 years from now?
Guess what they are going to have in the year 2018 or 2020 self driving cars and they already have developed on some cars and they said that Fords is going to be the 1st one's ever to have self driving vehicles.Hellsmith1 wrote:You know what & this is true in 20 years from now they will have autopilot in all the vahicles and all you half to do is put in any location or address and it will take you there without you even half to touch the peddles or the stirring wheel or you can still drive yourself.
Because when I was at the Auto show Fords had a self driving car there on display and it looked pretty awesome but they will not release it until the year 2018 or 2020.
Yeap its coming you guys and yes they going to still have manual driving too.
What do you think of that?
Would you trust a self driving car or not?
