20 years from now?

If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

Uh...maybe you'd better slow down on the new threads for a while.

Heh, won't be too long before I can say truthfully "I remember being on the ZDoom forums 20 years ago". :P

if we're still playing Doom right now, why would we suddenly "forget" 20 years after that we played an old-ass computer game for so long?

Dementia, for some of us. D:

2035 = I'd be 53, Enjay would 102. :V
Doom would be 42.

Meanwhile, 2015-42=1973

I suppose a few of these movies, including The Exorcist, Enter the Dragon and Soylent Green, as well as the original Wicker Man, still have their fans, enough for a forum or two.

(and of course the preceding 2 years saw A Clockwork Orange, Dirty Harry, Deliverance, Fiddler on the Roof and The Godfather...)

20 years from now, doom will become insanely popular again, as the hipsters find the floppys. we will be flooded by the ironic future hipsters. Doom will see a port to the emerging holodeck. A doomer will stop a school shooting, equalizing the bad name with the game from way back when. The future hipsters leave, and the X needs to be compatible with gameplay mod y will stop.

20 years from now the FPS industry will crash thanks to all those CoD shovelware clones. :/

As long as I have my Doom, I'm okay.

20 years from now, I'll be telling my kids about the doom mods I made when I was a teenager.

Maybe the UAC will have been founded in real-life by then.
