And btw why not making something with the gold and jewels rather than just picking them up for high score? I thought maybe we could use it as currency to buy upgrades via menu purchase bar such as for example a required amount of gold can be used to buy Akimbo handguns or Steady Aim for MG42 etc. Hell even new WWII weapons that none of the nazis are seen carrying them but the ammo should be the same clips used already in these default guns.
Im not good with programming nor modding but i though id give ya some ideas for 5.0 version. ^^;
I second this. One mod that does something similar is Wolfendoom: Blade of Agony, where the Nazi gold you collect can be spent at the shop back at base. (Unfortunately in that mod, you lose all your equipment at the end of each mission, and I'm not suggesting anything like
that.) I've often said I'm very fond of gameplay mods that give you some sense of progression other than just finding new weapons, like the XP system in Doom RPG, the modpack system in Doom RLA, or the upgrades in D4D, Psychic, Guncaster, etc. A feature like a shop with upgrades would be a tremendous boon to this mod and add new layers of gameplay depth.
