Check out the .PITCHFROMMOMENTUM or the .INHERITACTORPITCH MODELDEF flags. One of those may help you out.

Now for some Hawkman Walkcycle!

Nothing Notable Here, but you can see compare the heights between all the characters posted so far. Prince Baradus and Zandro Doom are in competition for the tallest character. William Slay III is the size of a normal Human in comparison!

I am actually using GLOOME, the fully open source engine!

It makes the project feel more like an actual project then a mod with non of that source code worries bogging it down, imo.

(Thats just my opinion of course)

Love those sprites, good works. :D

After I saw the sprites of Prince Baradus made me want to go back to check his character art picture...and I noticed his chest armor seems a little bigger on his sprites, well, just my weird feel, silly me. :|

Oh, that's great. But it's just too bad since GLOOME based on GZDooM 1.x code(the old GL renderer), but still not a big deal of course...if the engine still do updates. :3:


Well, since GZDooM 1.x branch[1.9.x release / pre-1.10] still going so it's not that bad. :p


EDIT: Also, the latest beta build of GLOOME is dated Aug 28/29, 2015(Last commit on Github is Dec 19, 2015 if you compile the engine by yourself), so it may not working with/does have some latest ZDooM changes, I guess.

Hello Again, I am here now with Gremile ‘Hotshot’!

He has the smallest sprite out of the main heroes. In game, he is actually rendered out even smaller, too; Some characters I had to re-size in the game engine itself!

Gremile was a pain in the butt to create, as I had to make quite a few adjustments and re-render him like 5 times. But overall, I think the final result came out pretty well!

Oh yes, in regards to the previous post; I haven't encountered any issues with Gloome as of yet in regards to when it was last updated. Also to add, I try my best to replicate the character art in 3D, but it can get a bit finnicky due to the sprite size, pft.

he is sure cute charming devil with those arms grabbing pistols! anyway haven't you think about which one is fastest to slowest?

You mean Stat Wise?

All the characters are planned out stat wise. In terms of speed, it goes Packrat > Imp > Human > Warrior > Mage/Knight

yeah, stat wise. especially a speed one. and one more thing, is there will be stat screens for whole characters ingame or in this thread? like the hexen one.

You will see the characters stats before you select them, yes!

The stats appear in the menu at all times, too; you can see them in my videos in the corner. But they are more properly done now.

The main stats are STR, DEF, AGI and INT. STR is Attack, DEF is Defense, AGI is running speed and INT is Ammo Count (Mana and Alchemy).

Every character but the Human Cleric have stats they excell and fail in (The Cleric has 80 in all his starting stats). the highest stat Count is 255, which only a character who Excells in that stat can achieve, since they is 10 upgrades per stat (Basically, the Warrior for Example Starts with 130 STR, which means he can max it out to 255).

The Mage and Gunslinger have sort of a Similiar Gimick; The Gunslinger starts with 130 INT, 105 AGI, 55 STR and 30 DEF, while the mage starts with 130 INT, 105 STR, 55 AGI and 30 DEF, making the Mage a glass canon character.

I may take a week break from uploads just to refine a few things before starting to showcase some monsters. I plan to to show off SOME of the monsters, but not all of them. After that, I will be showing off an update of the game, since a lot of things have changed since the previous video!

I really dig the classic style Lucian has in particular. Reminds me of a NES era character.

circular head? good choice! also his whole design sure reminds me of dragon quest series. good ol' times when the rpg games were classic and plain.
