Re: Rolling Acres (WIP)
Its that time again, folks. And this time, I'm gonna show something a little bit different. Also, to herald the arrival of GZDoom 2.4, I decided to turn on Bloom, SSAO, and FXAA. Enjoi.
So, building the mall itself is a major feat all in its own. However, going the distance to build the out buildings that surrounded the mall is a mighty undertaking. Have a look at some of the stores and restaurants nearby Rolling Acres that you can visit, eat and shop at. These buildings are 100% eyecandy and cannot be entered.
NOTE: Without cheats, you will likely never be able to go see these buildings up close.
And that concludes this batch of pictures, my fellow space marines. And remember, live mas.

Re: Rolling Acres (WIP)
Alright guys. No pictures today, but I haven't forgotten about the map.
I've been bogged down with life as of late, and I haven't had much interest to continue editing the map as of now. I've also been waiting on a word about textures from someone I've been collab-ing with. I'm not dead, I'm just busy.
Hope you fellow space marines have a wonderful evening.

Woah, I ain't dead after all. And I gotta get my lazy ass back to work on this map. I haven't forgotten about it. I just took a bit of a hiatus.
However, I am still in need of some texture designing. If you're up for it, note me and we can discuss from there.
Until then, fellow space marines, enjoy this stunning picture of the front of the mall.

Its that time again. I need a texture designer. Or someone who knows their way around photoshop or some kind of art program. Shout and we can discuss further from there. Helping me out here will guarantee you a proper mention in the game's credits.

Re: Rolling Acres (WIP)
Gorgeous architectural piece. Even still not fully done it looks great, I always enjoy detailed reproductions of real places in Doom. Love the little things like the elevator and the reverb, and the PA music and stuff.
If one thing, the framerate takes a nosedive in certain places. Perhaps you should replace some of the linedef-based railings for textures to simplify the map's geometry, that'd free a lot of resources to use on the architecture itself. Adding brightmaps for the ceiling light textures would also add that extra spice to the looks.
Either way, great job.

Re: Rolling Acres (WIP)
Crashes a few seconds into gameplay in OpenGL, and crashes immediately when using Vulkan, But works well on SoftPoly but with low framerate (Maybe because of my intel
graphics gpu).
graphics gpu).
