Re: The WIP Thread
Did you make the fire textures yourself? Looks great!

Those marauders remind me of the weevils from "Torchwood".

Wow, that's probably the best fire simulation I've ever seen around here. Just out of curiosity, what prompted you to do this? Is this going to be implemented in your Hexen Souls project?Mikk- wrote:*Amazing dark souls fire stuff*

Woah. Totally radical. That's amazing looking flames! Does it make use of a glow effect of sorts? Or is that just bloom? And how soon do you think this'll see a use in a release?Mikk- wrote:*Amazing fire effects
Re: The WIP Thread
Dunno, one of my first projects ever was a heretic enhancement mod which used kinda lame "particle fire" effects. I was hoping to create a new-ish effect. Secondly, I wanted to learn ZScript, so making some kind of special effect was good practise. It might find its way into Hexen SoulsPompous Seed wrote: Wow, that's probably the best fire simulation I've ever seen around here. Just out of curiosity, what prompted you to do this? That's just GZDoom's bloom effect. Goes a bit crazy with the fire but on lower settings looks rather pleasant. Dunno how soon you'll see a release. I could release the fire as a standalone effect, or it could be part of a larger mod.Ral22 wrote: Woah. Totally radical. That's amazing looking flames! Does it make use of a glow effect of sorts? I remember beta-testing that... This effect certainly looks better. Like vanilla, but more actually fiery.Mikk- wrote:Dunno, one of my first projects ever was a heretic enhancement mod which used kinda lame "particle fire" effects. I was hoping to create a new-ish effect.
