Anyone, who think's that Doombuilder is too freakin slow, lacks the ability to drop verices wherever you want, and requires more than 500 MHz, for god-knows-what...Tormentor667 wrote:Beyond that: Who will use WinZETH if DoomBuilder is for free?
I'm still using ZETH, and will be using new versions of it, or WINZETH...

it says it requires 500mhz. it recommends what, 1ghz? that's nonsense. i don't know what the hell that's on about, i used it on a 500mhz forever and no slower than anything else was on that machine
and it could probably run on lower than 500, only thing is you need a decent vid card for 3d mode to go at an alright speed i guess

It works great on my 2.6 GHz machine...ellmo wrote:Anyone, who think's that Doombuilder is too freakin slowTormentor667 wrote:Beyond that: Who will use WinZETH if DoomBuilder is for free?
Umm... What? Hit 'V' to enter Vertex mode, then right-click to place a vertex. Gee, that was hard.lacks the ability to drop verices wherever you want
That's like complaining that ZDoom requires more than a 486. Seriously, whose fault is it that your computer is 10 years old?and requires more than 500 MHz, for god-knows-what...
I mean it's just not as handy as ZETH is (IMO of course)...HotWax wrote:It works great on my 2.6 GHz machine...
I'm pretty sure I've tried that before, cause it's the same as in ZETH. Guess I need to play a bit more with that editor. But don't expect me to throw away my beautiful, DOS-based ZETH.HotWax wrote:Umm... What? Hit 'V' to enter Vertex mode, then right-click to place a vertex. Gee, that was hard.
EDIT: Yeah, now I know what I meant. I couldn't figure out how to connect two free vertices inot a LineDef... Can that be done easily?

Well I've released the next version of my SLADE editor if anyone's interested. I've also put up the source and a forum...
