Besides, I would love a WinZETH myself as well. No more DOS! :D

Anyone, who think's that Doombuilder is too freakin slow, lacks the ability to drop verices wherever you want, and requires more than 500 MHz, for god-knows-what...

I'm still using ZETH, and will be using new versions of it, or WINZETH...

it says it requires 500mhz. it recommends what, 1ghz? that's nonsense. i don't know what the hell that's on about, i used it on a 500mhz forever and no slower than anything else was on that machine :P
and it could probably run on lower than 500, only thing is you need a decent vid card for 3d mode to go at an alright speed i guess

ZETH never works for me. Every time I try placing ANYTHING it crashes.

It works great on my 2.6 GHz machine...

Umm... What? Hit 'V' to enter Vertex mode, then right-click to place a vertex. Gee, that was hard.
and requires more than 500 MHz, for god-knows-what...
That's like complaining that ZDoom requires more than a 486. Seriously, whose fault is it that your computer is 10 years old?

I mean it's just not as handy as ZETH is (IMO of course)...

I'm pretty sure I've tried that before, cause it's the same as in ZETH. Guess I need to play a bit more with that editor. But don't expect me to throw away my beautiful, DOS-based ZETH.

EDIT: Yeah, now I know what I meant. I couldn't figure out how to connect two free vertices inot a LineDef... Can that be done easily?

I'm pretty sure the only way to create a line in DB is via line-drawing...

I got it working. Just a little practice and I found out how to drop LineDefs starting on onther LineDefs... Having no problem with it now.

Come to think of it, I could be able to work faster with DB than with ZETH.

Yeah, the insert-key trick needs to be documented better, but once you've figured it out you should have no further problems.

That's a trick? Heh, that's just the way I worked to begin with.

Well, I consider it a trick because I'm used to simply right-clicking to drop vertices, but that doesn't work when you're trying to split a line because it brings up the line's properties instead. It took me awhile to figure out I could just move the mouse into position and hit insert instead.

I just work in line mode most of the time. If you press insert and then click on a line, it'll split it and you can draw from there.

Well I've released the next version of my SLADE editor if anyone's interested. I've also put up the source and a forum...
