Okay now that caught me with my pants down. I didn't exactly think of coffee as a 'power' drink like red bull, but it's quite an effective one at that, true!

I always thought that it is almost the same thing in terms of caffeine. At least in my particular case: my coffee is strong as hell!

1 more day? In the trailer it says "October 31st", and it's now October, 31st. What the day you going to wait? :D

Might need to be 31st in the places where time lags behind the rest of the world, too. :P (Such as America)

It's 30th of October here in Canada but we have less time so I try to be patient while keep checking on the mod thread :)

That's the time we're going by. As of this posting moment, it's currently 7:05 P.M. or 19:05 military.

Starting at midnight, it will come anywhere from there, to the next 24 hours. All depends on what DBT wants to do. Maybe even a little earlier, possibly even later (Don't panic, not by much!). He's crazy busy.

Well, at least until then we'll be able to play with Brutal Doom 64, which will be getting released any time now. (Sgt Mark IV said 2 hours ago that he was working on the ending sequence and would release it "in an hour"...)

I don't mean to be tooting the horn for "the enemy", but D4D and BD64 are different mods, and they are both expected to be of a fairly high quality.

Also, since Doom 64 EX stopped getting updated, I wanted a new version for the PC. And you can probably play D4D with the Doom 64 maps (allegedly). Having two excellent mods on Halloween (or close to it) is a wonderful treat (not a trick), and I'm happy that we have teams willing to produce these things for us.

:)

I think Doom 64 is considered by some to be the prequel to Doom 4, so it works in another way, too.

I consider it "unintended" that both parties are so closely set to release at the same time, and thus now it's a big "decision" to choose to play first.

But at any rate, if I find that it can be modified to fit in D4D, I might just schedule that after I convert the Hell on Earth Starter Pack. I did a lot to the marines and made them much better (if not almost outright damn near invulnerable...) and they now truly follow you wherever you go. They will never be stuck again.

Don't get your hopes up though, unless his coding style hasn't changed.

Do you mean the zombified marines or the rescued marines?

It used to bug me when the latter got stuck in areas, but they would usually teleport close to you after a certain amount of time, if you were patient.

That teleporting quite often failed. They're also a lot quicker now. And yes I mean the latter. And I can see Doom64 as, indeed, a canon point to continue on for Doom 2016.

BD64 is now available at moddb.

And... 347 mb?!

The original rom on the N64 was 7 mb. I'm glad I'm not using a 56k modem to download this.

That's gotta be the biggest I've seen yet for a Doom mod.

Of course, now that I post this someone will eagerly point out something bigger. :P

Can't say I was expecting it to be low for certain.

@Eruanna: AEoD. Easily. ~500mb. Possibly less, haven't checked.
