New version. I've adopted this as a spiritual successor to Excessive Force.
5 stages. Collect the six pieces of evidence in the interior maps for an extra life. Hostages are now suspects to arrest. Once they've been apprehended, proceed to the exit at the bottom right.

Drop 'n drop on ZDoom to play. NOTE: I just tested this in 2.9 pre-368 and it still doesn't work. I don't know how far forward you can go, but I've been using 2.8 pre-2205.

After confirming with Combine_Kegan that we're actually working on different entries, here's a well under 64kB implementation of what I was thinking about here.

No footsteps and you have unlimited smart and remote det (you just have to wait longer to start bombing again after you plant one of the latter).

Readme file is inside the pk7, but it should be simple enough:
slot 1 = 5-second timer
slot 2 = proxmity mine
slot 3 = remote detonation (hold altfire, don't just tap it, they're a bit finicky by design)
The more yellow the skull is, the more you can bomb.
You have 9 health. (I've used 9 whenever a 10 could have done...)

Made for latest GZDoom SVN but I don't see why it should not be incompatible with Zandronum. (I haven't tested this - apparently Zand is no longer compatible with Debian Wheezy... probably should update soon, lol) EDIT: SXF_SETTARGET. Blah. I suppose it's hackaroundable but fuck it I am le tired

I reuploaded my mod. It's slightly, slightly bigger (about 53kb unzipped, 11kb zipped) but I just re-adjusted the health for some of the enemies and I gave the archvile two more magic tricks. I also re-adjusted the black and white magic ball attack since, as much fun as it is to just keep staring at those black and white balls floating around in space forever, it gets boring when those attacks do absolutely nothing at all. I also updated the Hell-Knight's attacks and the Baron's of Hell attacks.

EDIT: I re-uploaded a new version. Some more slight changes to a few enemies health and attack patterns. That's about it.

This mod has been tested under ZDoom 2.8.0

Could you please mention which version of ZDoom/GZDoom you are using with your submission? I have already seen files that require the dev builds, and files that were designed for the stable version that break or run badly on the dev builds, so I'd just like to have some kind of advance information about what I'm going to need, so I don't have to cycle between four different versions of the port.
Feel free to edit my first post with this information for entries as necessary, including new entries I might have missed.

Update time

All of that animation is done with textures and it looks REALLY good. I've been wigging out over how smooth this is

Okay so... instead of "until the end of April," could we get an exact date, maybe? I'm not sure how much longer my thingy is gonna take, so time is of the essence here, especially since I'm a full-time student.

I'd say "the end of April" means that it won't be too late until May 1.

That said, if a set amount of time had to be given, 65536 minutes is about 45 days. :)

Well sure, but I wasn't certain if he meant that as an approximate deadline. No harm in checking. :P

Just stopping by to say that Mouse's mod is friggin' amazing. Is that all hand-pixeled?

[Not that it's any less awesome if not. :P ]

<sarcasm>Oh. Absolutely. I drew EVERYTHING myself. No need to go comparing the graphics to Megaman/Metroid/Front Mission rips found on The Spriters Resource. Really. I INSIST!<sarcasm>. The guns are the only thing that are mine, as I'm a Seburo whore.

I don't exactly have all the visuals from those games memorized. :/

I wouldn't have bothered asking except you're known for making custom sprites (traditionally via models) and I was idly wondering if you were trying out different art stuffs.

I'd say it's time for a big ol' bump - how's everybody doing? Did I give you too much time? Anybody still working on their entries? You do have until the end of April...

I'm still working on an entry to replace my placeholder entry. Initially, the scope i was going for had too much of a work load and was probably going to exceed the file size. Now that i have more time (no more 13 hour shifts yay), i can actually work on finishing it.

Please keep it till the end of April. I wound up taking a vacation and got sidetracked from DUMP. I'll be coming back soon and returning to blastmaster, it's been a LOT of fun
