Vupiter
A megawad for Doom 2, based in the Hexen format engine. Soon into Map03 you'll notice that the map exists in full 3D architechture, even in Software mode. Normal Doom rules don't exactly apply anymore. This is a wad that sticks to the good ol' Doom we love, while taking full advantage of various ZDoom effects.
It's currently in progress, here's the page link, and on that page is the download:
http://www.wadsinprogress.info/?a=listwads&wad=1443
The currents maps available are DM01, MAP01, MAP02, MAP03.

Re: Vupiter
I didn't know ZDoom allowed for better stacked sector support. I'll have to look into that.
Interesting looking mod! I definitely look forward to updates. :)

Re: Vupiter
Stacked sectors are unbelievably finnicky, but due to my SMRTS, I've been able to master them. I just absolutely love Software-3D tricks.
Re: Vupiter
Vomit Jupiter?
Really though, doesn't look too bad. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

This was pretty fun. I like what you've got so far. I can't wait for it to be completely finished.

Re: Vupiter
I'm not exactly fond of the set-piece traps that are terrifying the first time, then a chore afterwards because there's no way out except the one prescribed by the mapper.
But otherwise it's a great use of the lower-level monsters and the visual design is an excellent balance of old and new.

Hmm, multiple ways to escape/fight a trap? I shall consider this in the future.

Re: Vupiter
Rough around the edges, but this has some nice use of ZDoom's features. Continue as you please.
Re: Vupiter
Well, talk about a necromancery
But by any wild, crazy chance. Do any of you guys still have this wad sitting on your harddrives?
