It's almost like the 230 buck case I'm using doesn't have filtered intakes.
Although the only reason I did get two LED fans was so that there was at least some light around the hardware.

It looks far better in reality, since there's a gross amount of overshooting in this long exposure picture - which happened to be the only way this camera could even capture the minimal amount of light that is actually produced.

Of course it looks better in reality.

Man, the memories of you sharing your heatsink tales.

I wrote a long think piece on Tumblr about the primacy of layout in creating a good Doom level.

Viscra Maelstrom wrote:well then, i'm asking because i've run my installation of Windows 7 for a bit over a year, and i was wondering if Windows 10 would run smoother if i formatted the computer before getting the installation, or if it wouldn't really matter at all?
There's no actual right answer to that. Formatting the drive will always make things "run faster" as you're resetting the allocation table, and thus any fragmentation you have. However, you can already defrag a partition without formatting it, and 1 year worth of normal drive I/O isn't going to be substantial enough to warrant even caring.
Unrelated to that, you have any software that could be running right now on your PC. However, that's an "always true" scenario. Anything you've installed will always take up more resources when running it. Installing it all again on a new Windows install is not going to change that at all.
Ultimately, it comes down to "Will Windows run faster if I install it clean rather than upgrade it?". No. It doesn't really matter. :P

Really good write-up! This covers a lot of why I thought the Monochrome Mapping Project just didn't do well. People didn't focus on layout much of the time, but instead tried to make gimmicky levels full of hallways and square rooms, just in shades of grey.

So this happened.

I was offered an interview on google hangouts for a remote working job via contract to finish a video game. I forgot to reply to the interviewer's email that declared when the interview would be taking place, yet I was preparing for it.
I only realised an hour before it that I completely forgot to confirm to him the date is okay with me. I shot him an email explaining and apologising.

Feeling like an idiot right now. He didn't explicitly state he expects a confirmation email, and I've mentioned to him before that I'm on a very flexible schedule so I'm generally available all day, every day, but still, I feel like I messed up big.

...though I did find a cute baby hedgehog as I was watering my back yard so I got that going for me which is nice.

Edit: Just got a reply saying it's not a big deal. Whew.

I'm really surprised and amazed at the number and quality of some of these Star Trek fan-films, such as Star Trek: Renegades, Star Trek: Horizon and Battle of Axanar. They have some big names in there.

I'm thinking about making a WIP-thread for my project, where I keep posting new stuff about the game, and offer a download-link when it's finished. But are such threads OK here...? I really don't know. The game will be finished next year, probably. The development will constantly go on, as it does since 2013.

Considering there's several WIP-threads in the projects forum, I would say that's not a problem as long you have something to show.
