PSP8's great, if you have a good computer.

Takes 3-5 minutes to load on a 96MB of RAM Celeron. :\

More like PSP5. That's the best version for sprite making, as it's simple enough yet doesn't eat up memory like the later version.

I think it was PSP 5 that had a nasty bug. If you did some editing, selected something, then did something else, then pressed the undo button twice it could crash. This happened if you pressed undo a second time before the animated selection lines had started animating properly. I know it sounds like something you wouldn't do very often, but I was always getting PSP to crash this way.

However, PSP 5 did seem to have better memory handling. Quite often with version 6 upwards, you get out of memory errors if you have more than one instance of PSP open and want to copy and paste between the two. This method is very useful if you are working on modifying a sprite with loads of frames and want to browse 2 directories at the same time. Have 2 copies of PSP open - each one browsing a different directory - open a picture, copy an area from it, switch to the other copy of PSP, open the picture you are going to paste onto, paste, rinse and repeat. However, sooner of later this method gives an error with later versions.

There's really not a plural at all. It's kinda like salt. You can either have some salt, or you can have more salt. You really can't have "salts", unless you're talking about different varieties or something.

More like potassium chloride, sodium chloride and calcium iodide all being salts I suspect.
