Updated to 1.1 finally. It's actually been about a year since I started the project. Well... Here's LOH v1.1! Please load lights.pk3 as a resource when starting it up with gzdoom, because some of my actors need these lights!!!!! I got to sleep now, so hopefully I'll get some feedback and stuff when I wake up. :mrgreen:

Hi Seid... so finally you get rid of such Havoc! :lol:
Tomorrow I'll give a look to your map, I see also you've included that "isle" stuff you suggested for Gore, but I see it fits much well into your project now. Concerning Gore, I'll try another time in the next month to Git my project, hopefully with something new inside.
BTW now I'm quite stressed for real life issues and I'm deeply involved for Blade Of Agony development, so I'll relax a bit with your LOH wad then wait greedily for LOH2 then! :-)

thank you, we need more Heretic. seems like a spin-off of that HeXen RPG mod, similar level design. I like it.

I'm glad you like it. LOH takes much inspiration from Serpent: Resurrection, including map style. It could just use more detail, but I can improve that in the future.

EDIT: Added music credits. I forgot to add them last night because I was in a hurry updating this thread.

So Seid, here you are a bunch of feedbacks/criticisms about your LOH pwad:

1) Two-H-Dogs are much too waaaaaaaaay fast IMOH, also try to scale them down a bit;
2) Skyboxes here could really beautify the map;
3) If I try to cheat and use IronClaw, I can't switch weapons with next-prev bindings, unless I switch 'em through numbers instead (I see it's not defined/included in your wad);
4) The NewCrossbow alt-fire looks strange, maybe you need to add some more sprites/trails (and maybe you can make 'em poisonus :wink:);

I will come with more stuff next time. :-)

I appreciate this feedback very much. Thank you Ozy. I will do my best to fix everything mentioned here. Also, the items located above the glass at the beginning of part 1 are part of a secret, not for decoration.

EDIT: I'm planning on replacing the gauntlets eventually, that's why they're not defined.

Uhmm, I had the fear about those up-glass ammos that they were part of a secret, but I found only the special weapon one.
Don't want to spoil where it is, don't worry :-)

It is NOT the map size I would say. My Father plays the original Doom and had the same problems. Even I had this problem, I can´t remember exactly how but I fixed it by playing around in the Sound option menu, so it´s a matter of setting up your options IMO.

Those where choppy sounds: torches and some other actors (that I don't exactly remind of) uses the same SoundSlot or CHAN, but I fixed 'em with checksight defs inside decorates, if I am not wrong. But don't know of any Doom issues TBHO.
