Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
So I'm really hooked with this whole Chaika thing. It's been a while since I came across a series I really like...

In watching old NES videos I stumbled upon the MicroGenuis review. Wikipedia says it was popular in Malaysia. Nash, did you see this thing around as a kid?

I bought Heretic.
And all the others as well, no sense in just getting the first one. Expect Heretic maps in the near future!

Stage two: darker wash. Darker, thinner paint allows the wash to gather in the folds and creases of the armor plates, making the detail stand out more.
There is one more stage that happens before I start painting the finer details.
(The vehicle on the bottom right will be painted differently, and has received its first layer of paint, the basic blue coat)

EDIT: If the crowd wants, I can post more intermediate shots of my painting process. If not, I will just post the finished result when I get there.

I started reading Berserk last night.
Well shit if it isn't obvious From Software drew a lot of inspiration from it.

Yes, there were even TV ads for it. As a matter of fact, more people knew what a Microgenius was than an NES. It was also very popular in less-developed villages (the kinds with paddy fields, far far away from the cities).DoomRater wrote:In watching old NES videos I stumbled upon the MicroGenuis review. Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
The other day my mom bought me a Steam gift card, so I went on a shopping spree for a bunch of old games:

- AVP 2000
- One Unit Whole Blood
- Duke Nukem 3D Megaton
- Half Life
- Quake 3
- Dark Forces

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
a bit foolish to immediately blow the whole card on very old titles during a non-sale period (considering how often they occur leading to much hoarding of games people don't play). When that happens, buyer's remorse will hit bigtime
(speaking of Q3, i've finished Quake3 Revolution (PS2) thrice now. Fighting Vadrigar itself is so freaking cheesy...but it's bile fascination somehow)

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
The new SP Curse of Naxxramas is finally out for Hearthstone! ...only problem is the servers are being hammered and it's next to impossible to get into the game at all! ;_;
Managed to get in and play the first battle once...and got my arse handed to me...only to then to time out and now I can't get back in again.
