This project is AWESOME.

What's funny was...I was looking for a realistic play-through wad. I found it.

Thanks Vaecrius. I'm gonna have fun with this one!

One possibility is that something else is killing you that you can't see, or that whatever hit you first took out enough hitpoints that you've bled to death before becoming conscious of any pain flash that is obviously not connected to any attack.
Nope, I was at about half, maybe lower health, and with no obituary. Then again, my memory may be failing me.

Meanwhile, I just noticed Lava Grunt's edits from the previous page, so:

1. re tac reloads, I'll have to think about that for a while.
2. re reloading grenade while in grenade mode:  you are this guy for a day. Will be in the next update.

..Am I the only one getting lots of crashes when taking out a minigun?
If you want, I can link the save and wad which I'm getting these crashes on.

First off, are you using the latest zdoom subversion?

Yeah, I'm using GZDoom r1596 with hd and an oblige level I made. Also using the latest hd version, as well as the latest oblige test version. The crashing seemed to stop, but it mostly happens near spawnpoints.

You should save the crash report then post it here if it happens again, since the only other wad files you seem to be using are oblige levels, which shouldn't at all conflict with HD.

What crash report? It just instantly crashes, no warnings or anything. It doesn't even CTD, I have to alt-tab to exit the process.

In the past, whenever I used task manager to close zdoom when it's unresponsive, every time the "fatal error has occurred" zdoom window pops up after a few seconds of trying to close zdoom, so I don't know what to tell you. Yours should have the window popping up which contains all the information on the issue, I haven't a clue as to why it's not appearing. Sorry dude.

A freeze, eh? It wouldn't surprise me if I've managed to accidentally delete something causing an infinite loop in the spaghetti monster that is the chaingun code, but if no one else seems to have been able to reproduce it so far (if you're one of those people and you're reading this please post!) it's not impossible that your download of hd.zip is corrupt. Try downloading again to see if that helps.

Also, are you getting this freeze outside of that savegame?

Nope, haven't gotten it since. However, I will try to reproduce it now.

Edit: Nothin. Dunno why it was doing it before.

Keep an eye on your computer and make backups of anything you find important... first time I started getting inexplicable ZDoom freezes it was the beginning of the end for that computer.

In other news I think I may have made the game too easy onoes

A thing that not a lot of people tend to notice is that savegames are not guaranteed compatible between different versions of the same mod. My brother was reporting all kinds of weird issues with my in-development builds of ww-terror, saying that he was repeatedly encountering the default Hell Knights when I had actually replaced them long ago. It turned out, he was reloading from a saved game from an old version of the mod.

It should stand to reason that when you update anything relating to a save, you should probably just start over.
