Hey Guys, i see everyone talks about an Alternate Attack to the Mancubus Flame Cannon. I think a Flamethrower for Alternate Attack will be good, but that's not my problem. I think more weapons needs an Alternate Attack like the Chainsaw. Also, i've got an idea for this weapon. How about to throw the Chainsaw?

I think the Alternate Attack for that Weapon is fixed. But, what can be good for the Rocket Launcher?

i don't think so because throwing chainsaw is makes no sence for playing games and chainsaw is heavy like a other weapons that doomguy has. most important, it's too old idea for brutal doom!
did you tried to imagine if throwing chainsaw works, throw other weapons will be working too?...no.

No it's not, It's more like a Flame Rocket Launcher then a Flamethrower.

Flamethrower's need to look like they are spraying fire, not just launching a fire bomb.

Pushing for all this alternate attack/heavy gameplay-changing stuff is a waste of time at this point. Sarge already said that he's focusing on polishing the mod, not adding lots of extra stuff. I highly doubt he'll add anything that will require him to rebalance the mod for the umpteenth time.

Looks good, but that baron with his chest blasted open looks kind of happy about the whole ordeal.

Yeah, there's still a lot of work-in-progress stuff. Doomguy's lower torso isn't finished yet, and all of the bodies are still pretty WIP at best.

How many times I will need to repeat that there will be no slash/throw alt attack for the chainsaw?
Do you guys even make a idea of how a chainsaw works? It's not a goddamn Katana! If you throw it at somebody, it's not gonna slice the person like sushi, it's gonna break the chainsaw in pieces!

OK. I understand you, but you have one mistake. Do you really dont understand? This is a game, not the real world! And if you want to know everybody likes this idea except the users on this forum. Here's some Comments from Mod DB about the idea:

I know, you are right for the throwable chainsaw (will gonna break in pieces), but i think this is will be a good idea for the mod. I think DooM13GR is correct, and i like his idea.
