Topic for people who like MLP:FiM
Re: Topic for people who like MLP:FiM
I don't get why they have to do these premiere episodes where there's a massive nationwide crisis with a villain that was never previously mentioned who gets defeated in a single episode and never appears again. I imagine at some point, all these one-off villains are going to band together into the MLP Legion of Doom, complete with their own secret base where they gather and argue endlessly about how best to do evil.

Yeah seriously. This one was defeated in record time. Barely even had any lines. All I could make out was "*evil laugh*" "*evil laugh*crystalheart*evil groan*" "*evil laugh*NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooo*evil death noises*"Trance wrote:I don't get why they have to do these premiere episodes where there's a massive nationwide crisis with a villain that was never previously mentioned who gets defeated in a single episode and never appears again. Obviously the party was overlevelled from grinding too many Changelings at the end of Disc 2. They'll be set for the rest of the game, or at least until they get to the bonus boss.
I wanted to see more of Luna. I get the feeling they're just going to give her token appearances at the beginning and end of each season, like "Here's your 10 seconds of screentime, now GET BACK IN THE BOX!" :<
(the box is a crate of bananas)
Anyway, what interested me most was the previews for upcoming S3 episodes. A plague of Pinkie Pies? BEST. APOCALYPSE. EVER.
Re: Topic for people who like MLP:FiM
I watched the premiere and I am getting a feeling that the entire series is getting extremely formulaic.

just tried it............it's like farm vile for ponies. the minigames and the voice acting were not bad though.
EDIT: holey crud.......i just checked. They have every single freakin possible pony that you could find. Hell. Even jeff letroski was there.......only one was left out. Care to guess which pony that is?

If I were to answer that question:insightguy wrote:just tried it............it's like farm vile for ponies. the minigames and the voice acting were not bad though.

I live in the UK and don't own the full-blown Sky package.
Re: Topic for people who like MLP:FiM
I have to agree the season openings are getting repetitive. And that the Crystal Empire suddenly reappeared after some 1000 years (but still well inside the presumably limited lifespan of the main cast) also didn't feel very convincing. Well, at least they haven't repeated the "Elements of Harmony will save the day" gimmick again. Plus, I was glad there was Cadance in it, because she is one of the most beautifully drawn* characters in the show. But that's not why I write this. There are a few things I don't entirely understand about the Crystal Empire episode:
Spoiler:*Well, I really didn't want to call her "hot" again and trigger a nasty flame like it happened a few thread pages back...

1) Basic gist is, like the Angels from Diablo lore, Celestia/Luna/etc., although dieties, are lazy dickwads. That's my reason and I'm sticking to it.
