IMHO the second one with the third's neck thingy would be best. (And most consistent.)

I'd go for the third one (the rightmost one, without anything), although a cat the one that Blox chose is fine too.

hey,

I think Blox's mix of your 3 sprites is cool.
So we have just one to go! As soon as you done we can start applying it to rest of the frames. By this time Ill be done with heads.
cannot wait to see fully HD sprite in game, thats like childhood dream comming true :wub:

regarding zombieman armor without pads is good idead will give zombieman distinct look. It will be also lighter than shotgun's guy which, again will create diersity.

As far as I'm concerned, all of them are marines, and all of them use similar armor types, so keep the shoulder pads. However, your idea of a "lighter" armor is really good. Gives it concistence, since they are in lower military rank.

Hi. I couldn't work on the armor today and won't be able to for at least a week (i hope less). About the armor itself, well... you seem to like the detail in it, but not the design. Keep in mind that it is a whole, not independent/separated frames, so, if you like the front, but not the side nor back, the only thing we can change is its looks, not the design itself. Bulky is bulky after all, no matter the color or the layers composed in it. So, with this in mind, shall i change the design? if so, please tell me. Other than the detail, what do you like or don't like of the current armor?

hey yaheshua,
I personally like this armor.

When blox suggested that they are wearing armors rather than t-shirts, I didn oppose even though In my mind they are wearing some uniform - like clothes with just bulletproof vest on it plus armpads, elbow-pads and knee-pads. More like internal security in companies. So initially I was going to go more into very light armor. Something like zombieman form Doom comic book I posted above . But then you armor is astonishingly well detailed and perfectly designed. It would be a waste not to use it.


So, bottom line: for me this armor for shotgun guy is perfect. It for some reasons you decide (or others) that he need lighter armor (or even uniform + bulteproof vest) we may make lighter for him and zombieman and chiangun guy can borrow hi heavy equipment.
But tht additional work and eeven then you cannot please everyone. So its your decision.

PS I also cannot work on anything unitl comming wednesday

Hi, it was late last night so i didn't explain myself correctly. What i was thinking with this "armor redesign" was for the zombieman and if it didn't work well with shotgun guy, cange it later, not right now. If i was to change the armor right now, that would be a setback and we can't afford that right now. We need to release something, the more detailed the better, and we already have *almost* all the initial set of frames for shotgun guy so, i think there's no need no change it now. And i agree that you can't please everyone, but i was also thinking that we should take into account this "armor rejections" right now, to let me know if i should rework the zombiemans armor, after all i was going for a recolor and a shoulder-pads-less approach (i'm working this things on layers so that's kinda a matter of "on/off" for this changes). Also, when it is released, if the general reaction is against the shotgun guy's armor, we'd already know what changes we should/could do, you know, planning a little ahead.

Don't worry, in the meantime, i was thinking in making blox's suggestions (i think they're really cool), correct the side, and make the back frame.

If we are talking about the armor the hitscanners use I feel I should point something out.
In vanilla, the Zombieman, Shotgunner and to a lesser extent the Chaingunner all wear the same armor as the Doomguy. It might be good in the interest of faithfulness to have them all wear the same with this as well.

You've got the right idea, yaheshua. I agree that it'd be better for you guys to release what you can, then go back to it later. I like the left armor the most, followed by the right hand armor if you wanted to just go with something more simple.

this isn't quite at the x8 resolution of this project, but i did do a somewhat higher resolution revenent a few weeks ago
