my character is apparently skilled enough to tape a sword to his feet and be able to fight with it while standing up.
I really don't understand the fascination with porting gun mods to Heretic.amv2k9 wrote:Quick & messy port of MagSigmaX's Project MSX to Heretic.
The number of Heretic weapon mods is pretty small, so just about anytime I see somebody make a good Doom weapons mod, I try porting it to Heretic for personal use (well, except Brutal Doom. That would take a hell of a lot of work). And Heretic's weapon loadout is similar to Doom's, so balancing and deciding what weapons spawn where is much easier than doing it for Strife & Hexen. And I think its kinda cool to have a tech'ed out supersoldier dropped into a high-fantasy world.NeuralStunner wrote:I really don't understand the fascination with porting gun mods to Heretic.

I dunno, maybe you could try setting the camera's FOV as low as possible, and have it be a very far distance away.Kinsie wrote:Trying to remember how to do an isometric camera in ACS. I had an example from an old Marble Madness wad, but there's probably a better way out there.
If you can't see the appeal in blowing a centaur's face off with a shotgun, then I just don't know you.NeuralStunner wrote:I really don't understand the fascination with porting gun mods to Heretic.amv2k9 wrote:Quick & messy port of MagSigmaX's Project MSX to Heretic.
If you can't remember that Centaurs are in Hexen and not Heretic, I don't know you either.Kinsie wrote:If you can't see the appeal in blowing a centaur's face off with a shotgun, then I just don't know you.NeuralStunner wrote:I really don't understand the fascination with porting gun mods to Heretic.
That was the in-code name. Officially, they were golems (Flesh golems, apparently).Kinsie wrote:mummies
I think you shouldn't, as you said the player's goal is to reach level 9 and defeat the bosses, when the bosses are on level 8 and the secret map is level 9, which is entirely optionalKinsie wrote:Kind of meh on this. Dunno if I should go ahead.
