Re: Angled Marine Rifle
I kind of have a problem with those muzzle flashes, and I'll try to explain why.
The "star" pattern you'd see on an M-16 muzzle flash is because of the resulting fireball being shaped by the flash hider on the end of the barrel, which has notches cut into it so that the gases can escape in different directions, thus making the flash have a lower profile. Unless the flash hider is rotating while the weapon is firing, the directions in which the gas escapes would not change in the fraction of a second it would take for the muzzle fire to completely dissipate.
tl;dr: Pick a direction and stick with it. =P

Re: Angled Marine Rifle
I'd probably stick with the classic muzzle flash IMO. But if I'm gonna use it I can prolly just do it myself. Muzzle flashes are way easy.
Re: Angled Marine Rifle
Indeed, but this is the one I'm using for the WAD.Xim wrote:I'd probably stick with the classic muzzle flash IMO. But if I'm gonna use it I can prolly just do it myself. Muzzle flashes are way easy.

Re: Angled Marine Rifle
The angled sprites are good, but the colors on the muzzle-flash are a tad odd for some reason. Also, the pickup sprites doesn't look like the marine rifle in the slightest (which is what I modeled the original pickup sprite after), it looks almost exactly like a classic M16. Other than that though, pretty good stuff!
Re: Angled Marine Rifle
I'll rectify the muzzle flash tomarrow and I wanted a longer less toy gun like pick up sprite. my next wad will have it replacing the super shotgun so the chain gunner wont drop it when he dies and save me the hassle of modifing the Zombiemans script so he will drop it ocasinally.Mike12 wrote:The angled sprites are good, but the colors on the muzzle-flash are a tad odd for some reason. Re: Angled Marine Rifle
This looks like something Brutal Doom can use, but the muzzleflash I'm not particularly keen of. I like the yellow flash better.

Will work on that todayMr. Chris wrote:This looks like something Brutal Doom can use, but the muzzleflash I'm not particularly keen of. I like the yellow flash better.
