Check out WildWeasel's GunLabs. It's aimed at making guns, but what you learn about DECORATE there will carry over into making just about anything.

1. Open original wadBlueFireZ88 wrote:You could still import files via SLADE, but yeah, if you just want to merge wads together, it's handy to have XWe.
2. select all
3. copy
4. Open other wad
5. paste
Done.
Re: How to use DECORATE?
I hold onto XWE for basic sprite recolouring, but it's really buggy compared to SLADE; so I use that for everything else.

Why would you merge into IWAD?ChronoSeth wrote:Katamori wrote:OK, I tried SLADE to merge WADs. Well, it wasn't successfull but I've seen the advantages of SLADE. Nice program!! =)1. With XWE, it still doesn't work for Doom.EXE!

He didn't say IWAD. He said "original WAD" and "other WAD".skib wrote:Why would you merge into IWAD?

Re: How to use DECORATE?
If I had said IWAD, then I would have been talking about copying everything from the IWAD into another WAD. Even a newbie would know that doing such a thing would be pointless.skib wrote:Why would you merge into IWAD?

I thought original wad was Doom.wad and i assumed if he wanted to merge than it would be for DOOM.EXE.
