i really hope you don't use random monsters from the bestiary but a limited set of monsters from where mappers can pick whatever they want (bestiary is too big for being that set). Also new creatures rather than unedited monsters from the bestiary is also a must if you're aiming for a kdizd like mod (I know almost all kdizd monsters are now in the bestiary, but they were brand new when kdizd was out). The ssg from skulltag has some buggy sprites I hope you're using another one.

Re: [Project] Doom2 remake (Demo now available)
I'm not really sure what I should do about threads like these. This used to be in Editing, a long time ago, until someone bumped it wondering why the download links didn't work. It being a project thread, I moved it into Projects. But now that it's up at the top of the list, people continue to post in it as if it were still active, despite the project having been abandoned.
Do I just leave the thread as is? Do I lock it and assume that if the original poster returns, he'll just start a new one or ask for his old one to be unlocked? If I leave it open, the newbies will probably just keep bumping it with inane questions about when it'll be finished despite there being no meaningful activity. If I lock it, that's a step down the path of Nazi moderation from some peoples' point of view, and of course there's that issue of people perhaps wanting to restart the project or continue discussion about it.
Argh, the moral conundrums of forum moderation. =P

Maybe edit the title saying (Abandoned) or (Inactive) if abandoned seems too extreme.

I think for posterity's sake, it should be uploaded someplace a little more permanent. I'd suggest DRD Team's file share, but SoulPriestess is currently moving the DRD Team to another webspace (again) and the file sharing is currently disabled to my knowledge. But maybe in a few more days?

I guess I could work on it, I've got some nice SPAS12 sprites that we could implement.

The project is abandoned and obviously very, very unfinished.Doom_warrior wrote:For what remake of the Gotcha!map is absolutely other map than the original? I expected something better.

Ok, I would like to volunteer to help!
I don't think it should be abandoned.

You just bumped a topic which is over a year old.
In fact, it was apparently abandoned more than a year ago.
