Multiple Stories, One Above The Other (Disscussion)

Post by NZ_Reaper »

Now we all know that doom never had multiple stories... However while messing around with the middle texture on my linedefs I found I could create second story walls. This is of course a good way to make windows, gates etc etc... Now the only problem I face is that I can't really make a floor. I mean I can use Hexen's bridge function and have an invisible floor but I can't bring a floor texture up without bringing the entire floor up. Does anyone know how I might be able to do this? I would really appreciate some help.

Maybe some links to other people who have made two stories already or are working on it? Thanks heaps :)

Two ways: [wiki]3D floors[/wiki] and [wiki]portals[/wiki].

Awesome thanks. Are you sure there is no way for me to lift a floor texture up though?

Use a 3D floor and move its control sector.
