Does anyone know how to do cymbal chokes for MIDI drums? I do know that cymbal chokes can be achieved with a key aftertouch, but assuming that I am sequencing my drums using nothing but a mouse and entering the notes into the piano roll manually... there doesn't seem to be a way to draw in key aftertouch data in the controller pane in my sequencing software (Cakewalk Sonar 8.5) - I wonder how other people are doing it if they aren't sequencing drum parts using MIDI controllers?

Create a note on the piano roll (using the same cymbal as that which you wish to choke), and put it where you want to choke the cymbal. Then, reduce the note's duration and velocity (volume) to 1.
