Someone skilled in "DECORATE"ing? (just scripting!

Post by Tormentor667 »

Well, in the following thread:

http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t= ... c&start=75

I have posted a lot of monstersprites with some behaviour information how they should act. Unfortunately, I haven't worked a lot with this DECORATE stuff and that's why I need someone who can do this for GrafZahl's "Monster Pack 2".

It's pretty easy. Pull up the Wiki and I bet you'll figure it out pretty quickly.

No, that one is outdated and should not be used anymore. The one in the Wiki is up to date.

Sorry, I don't have time to start now learning DECORATE ;) It might be pretty useful if someone else helps me with that!

I can do the DECORATE for the monsters if you want.

EDIT: Graf, what is the difference between thingdef_doc.txt and Wiki's version. I can't see 'em

THe Wiki contains newer information.
Thingdef_doc is from the date of the 2.0.63 release, contains a few minor errors and completely omits the (few) 2.0.63a additions. Additionally, since the wiki has been updated a few times some things may be clearer in that version.

I learned from thingdef_doc, it is kinda outdated, but good for a quick reference(especially someone like me who is stuck with 56k dialup! ;) )

I feel for you man, no I seriously do. I seriously hope you can get DSL or something 'cuz having 56K in this day and age is damn near an advanced method of torture. (Try getting access to free DSL or something - I think it's available in the U.S.).

Anyways I don't think the file is THAT big for 56K.

2 questions for Xaser:

1. Is GetRight freeware
2. If yes, where can I get it.
