by the sound of it im guessing your new to doom ports, it adds function, tones and tones of it, thats its main purpose, if your still interested in learning what it does or even if you want info on a gfx buffed one message me on msn (webulator70@hotmail.com)
Whoa... OK quake-dude, I'm going to reply to you before you get horribly flamed.
This is ZDOOM, not ZDOOMGL! ZDOOM is a source port of DOOM, which makes DOOM/DOOM2/HEXEN/HERETIC/STRIFE(soon) run in Windows XP/2000/NT, and adds tons of new features like hi-res, jumping, scripting, slopes, look up/down, and tons upon tons of editing possibilities etc... Read the main ZDOOM.ORG website page!! It's all there.
Crouching in DOOM is demented (not to mention very unDOOM like), so that won't be implemented since it would change the original gameplay way too much. Randy wants to keep the original gameplay and compatibilty of each game as much as possible, while still adding new features.
I don't know what "full screen artifacts" means, but ZDOOM does have a fullscreen HUD. ZDOOM is "very well", and DOOM95 sux royal @$$ compared to ZDOOM, and it certainly does not look better than ZDOOM.
If you want ZDOOMGL, well, then, go get ZDOOMGL:

EDIT: Damn, webulator beat me to the reply!

Because ZDoom isn't GL-enables unless you get "ZDOOMGL", your stupidness. Anyways are you just here to start an "I'm better than you" falme-war?quake2ownyou wrote:quake 1 is just like doom pretty much except fully 3d .glquake>zdoom @least we dont have pixelated walls . i thought whole reason of zdoom was to improve graphics and ad freelook and jumping .jumping is good but up and down free look you cant look very much seems pretty fubared.
I'm not sure why I bother, but...
EDIT: Can anyone understand what quake2ownyou just posted?A few posts ago, I wrote: If you want ZDOOMGL, well, then, go get ZDOOMGL:
