wow this might sound crazy, but he was funny lol :lol:!!! if he was to say that in front of my face... hehe... i would shove my uzi (like the one on my pic lol) up his throat and blast his adams apple out his socket :D. enough said. so what were we talking about here? o yea. hey blaze, its hard to model the strife guy but ima see what i can do.

R U talking to me? If so, it's Blade. If you weren't, I'm so embarassed... Anyway, the main obstacle here is - when was the last time you saw someone modding for Strife? Although, it'd be swell for the KDiZD team to recreate the Strife world. Sigh, new awesome map design for an awesome game. I kinda feel like playin' a bit.

@KrazyKool: Why thanks, man. For realsies :) .
Yo, I was just thinkin'... Maybe the Strife idea is actually doable. Get a few interested people to design some maps together (similar to KDiZD, but not as big a group), and update the map design of Strife to the ZDoom engine.
It'll give Strife some extra playability (it already has a ton, too) and raise awareness on one of the most underrated old games ever made. Plain and simple :thumb: .

thats cool. so once i start, i would like if u make maps and stuff. im not really good with maps. i have a good idea for a map too that i badly wanna make but its to hard for me. the map is based on a nightmare. if only i learned how to map :(

I can't focus all of my time on mapping, as I have an original project that I'd like to at least start before summer's over; high school's gonna be so boring - all my buds and my messed-up lovelife (sigh... :oops: ) will be left behind. Need to have some fun before the ol' meat-grinder gets... grinding again :chainsaw2: .
Point is, I might be able to assist on some maps or give you design ideas. But I have a load of mapping-related (and sometimes more than that) to work on. The idea seems cool enough, though. Strife is a truly great game and needs to become just as much a part of ZDoom as Doom and Hexen (Heretic too; it had fun but simple levels and amazing music).
If I can help you, I will. Projects revolving around these games don't happen very often...

I thought that a coop/deathmatch would be good

what i mean is 1 team is the players going through the all the original levels (gets rid of the hastle of map making) the other team are the monsters each monster class for the monster players will depend on the level so you can't choose to be a cyberdemon on level 1 you are at random either an imp or a zombie man if you understand me if you think this would be a good idea and would be able to contribute i would be more then happy for you to help (if you do it amazingly i might even pay you a small amount) not much but still a bit because I know this would be amazing with some time and effort inspired by this:

also i think you should restrict monster players in what they can do so they can't run they always stay the same speed also i think they shouldn't be able to strafe plus when they shoot a wepon they have to w8 for a few moments before they can shoot again also when a monster player dies they go into a random npc monster and play as them the restrictions on monsters only make it fair on the players this will be a great team deathmatch game i promise :D

Duck use edit post in the future instead of doing a double. :D

I think the general answer to that would be a very large NO - unless you have something to show that you've been working on it as well, a screenshot from one of your maps, perhaps graphics you've been working on.

The "ZDoom Project Ideas" thread is NOT a recruiting center. If you're recruiting, start a thread, and make sure you've got that "something to show" handy as well or else nobody's going to join you.

I don't have the skill to do my thing and also read the begining of the forums plus this is gonna be based on the original doom/doom2/etc

but then how do u start a thread?
